Tales of the Heroes : Twin Brave is an action game, developed and published by Bandai Namco Games.
It was released in Japan, February 23, 2012.
This game plays very similar to Samurai Warriors, or Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Impact if you're more familiar with that... You run around in a map full of hundreds of enemies in real-time, smashing your way through them until you reach the boss of that stage. There are two playable characters from each game (Up to Tales of Xilia, for those that are curious), each with their own story mode.

I will be looking for Japanese to English translators. You can do a few misc lines of text a day or even a full section of a story mode, at your own pace. I will have the spreadsheets ready for you. Just remember that space is a factor. NO GOOGLE TRANSLATORS. I wouldn't be requesting help if that was an option, as I could do that myself. Machine translation is bad. No exceptions.
I have a blog here. I use it for daily updates and thoughts while doing the translation (basically all of the posts I make in this thread will be posted in the blog first.)
The main parts of the menu (in screenshots) that are untranslated are actually images, which I do not know how to edit. The description for EVERY option in the menu is located on the top-right corner of the screen when the option is highlighted, so this is not a problem.
Take a look at the options menu in the screenshots section of this thread. The menu on the left side is still in Japanese (since they are images, not editable text), but in the top-right corner of the same image, it tells you what that option actually does (It changes the message speed).
Some things are shortened down, as there is a character limit for each line of text. Most of the time it is perfectly readable, but if there is an abbreviation for an item or arte, it is described in that item/artes description.
Some localizations may be wrong, and if so I apologize. I have not played every single Tales Of game, so some characters and their artes are unfamiliar to me. But this is what beta testing is for! When the first patch is released, I'd appreciate if people would let me know if something should be corrected. Some artes have only been romanized for now (if there isn't an english name). These will hopefully be changed based on feedback from the Tales Of community.

Story text is my lowest priority at the moment. First I want to release a good, full menu/description patch for you guys, then I can try to get a team together to tackle the story mode.
These "prologues" or intros are the only part of the story that will be translated. The story in this game is non-canonical so it doesn't really matter. Plus, you will be able to understand what is going on through these, anyways. The face-chat text is compressed and can't be edited.
Artes. Romanized name first, followed by English name if it has one.
