how could nintendo not include a second circle pad with the xl version??? it's not as if it was a complaint made yesterday or last week. this "pro pad," much like the one used with the original 3ds, doesn't even look aesthetically pleasing. I guess nintendo's idea of mobile was: "let's find something else for our consumers to carry around." this is total fail. they should've either given the xl a second circle pad or not have come up with the "pro pad" at all. nintendo doesn't seem to have their priorities straight which has me deeply concerned with the wii-u. I expect it to be much of the same bs.

Iwata said they would have to make it larger or decrease the battery life to add another pad to the XL. It isn't like they aren't willing to the technology just isn't there yet. Give it some time.

regardless, nintendo found the time to increase the system's screen dimensions while also increasing battery life. as much as I hate to say it, I'm starting to lose faith in nintendo. they don't seem to understand what's going on anymore.

I don't know why people complain so much. I mean, how many games are compatible with the second analog, really? Not a lot. In fact, a very few. People should learn to enjoy thing rather than complaining. You're just wasting your time with complaining while you can play a game in that time or do anything else. Gaming consoles are made to be enjoyed not complained about >.>

Chicken or the egg question. Is there a lack of games because the 2nd analog is only optional or is the 2nd analog useless because there are no games? Just sayin'

I personally don't care about a second analog stick. however, considering it's a common criticism, u'd think nintendo would be ****''n smart enough to fix it. this is what should be a dubbed "pulling a capcom" (i.e. a developer believing that they know what consumers want more than the consumers want).

It frustrates me when people complain over petty stuff like this.

Nintendo isn't putting a gun to your head and making you buy this, they aren't forcing you to carry it around in your pocket as if you couldn't take it off when you're not using it. They made a wise mpove by not merging this with the 3DS XL because it will seriously be the 3DS's DK Bongos. It will be used for only a few games (That "pro" gamers would use in their own home for the "ultimate experience" so they won't cart it around with them anyway even though they'll still complain just 'cus). The 3DS just doesn't need a permanent second analog stick.

There are things that they have to study before doing so. To add more stuff means they have raise the price and they might think not everyone would buy it, etc. Plus, we can't always get what we want. I am not defending Nintendo or any other company I am just stating my opinion like you are. But complaining won't just solve anything, either enjoy it or leave others enjoy it.
EDIT: Besides that, nothing is perfect.

possibly. that is likely what will kill the gaming industry though: ignoring obvious flaws just 'cause u like a company. that is one reason y I pick on sony fanboys. however, now there's no room for flaws considering there's more competition.

Guys, remember when we didn't even have analogue sticks on our handhelds? We did fine without them for the last 20 years. We don't need to add two on the same handheld considering no games use it.

That is excatly what apple does with its yearly updates...drip feed updates to the hardware to maximise profits.
