Game Boy Advance Title for 3DS Virtual Console

Looks like Dr. Mario is coming to eShop VC. It is not an Ambassador title.

It looks like GBA games from the portable's history may soon start hitting the 3DS VC via eShop. This information comes from Nintendo Australia's website.

There was a specific GBA version but it was released as Dr. Mario & Puzzle League


I just see this as a mistake as well.

I hope they release some Megaman Battle Network when they begin the GBA VC thing. That would probably be an insta-buy for me.

If they're gonna release the battle network titles, they'll need to support multiplayer battles and trades.

You cannot get perfect games on Battle Network 2 and 3 without trading and battling, some secret chip-data is exclusive to net battles even.

I have faith Nintendo will release GBA games on the eshop for sale because who in their right mind would pay for an emulator to be written / games to be ported to the 3ds just to give away. The DR Mario thing I think is a slip up but time will tell.

If GBA titles were making a comeback on the 3DS eShop then I'm sure Nintendo would have used social media to hype their release. It's most definitely a mistake.

The game itself isn't exciting, probably a mistake anyway. At least it is showing that they are trying to get more VC games on 3ds and not just dsicrap...I mean dsiware. If it is the nes version, I'll still probably get it. I played it for hours upon hours when I first got it as a kid.

They sure are taking their time with getting GBA games out on the 3DS VC. I mean honestly, I don't even play the Ambassador titles aside from Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones and they really need to get the Advance Wars games, Metroid Fusion and Zero Mission, Zelda: A Link to the Past (better then the SNES version imo), Megaman Battle Network series plus Megaman and Bass, Boktai (might have to modify the game though), Castlevania series, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance etc etc.
