GB/GBC Save Extractor?

I've done my research, and have found someone asking this question years back, but it wasn't answered.

So today my Japanese Pokémon Yellow arrived with the box and everything, and since I can't read Japanese, playing through the game would be a pain, not to mention the fact that the battery should die sometime soon.

Is there any tool I can use to dump/restore GB/GBC saves? This would be extremely useful. Thanks guys.

Total price is about $60. Doubt it's really worth that much. I can't seem to find any other way though. Most of what my searches turn up are for GBA, although possibly the same technique would work for GBC games (with an actual GBA/GBA SP), I'm not sure (they involve using a "xboo" cable which connects the GBA link port to a parallel port on your PC [which I don't think most PCs still have; laptops certainly don't] and loading a GBA homebrew which then dumps the save; not even sure if you can restore GBA saves that way you can definitely restore saves that way).

EDIT: Also found an alternative to the xboo cable in the form of an Arduino based replacement, but I do not believe the GBA SaveSender software will work with GBC games, so there's not much point in pursuing that. That's absolutely fantastic! Just the sort of reply I was wishing for. The price isn't all that great but I guess it's worth my savings, and plus, I'm a total sucker for unlicensed cartridges/tools. I just love having them lie around my house so this will not only aid me but add to my collection. Thanks buddy!

I believe these cards should work on a GBA SP. I cannot remember with 100% certainty if I ever tried my Mega Memory card in my SP, but I think I did, and if so, I'm fairly sure it worked.

Although as a disclaimer I should say I cannot guarantee it. Don't want to be blamed for $60 wasted

It can be done on a GBA SP as long as the cartridge you're using fits in the cartridge slot (and I see no reason why it wouldn't). But it must be done from within GBC mode, using a tool specifically designed for GBC games and saves. The tools that are used for extracting GBA saves via an XBOO cable for instance will not work with a GBC cartridge inserted, because in GBC mode it's actually running a completely separate processor at a different voltage and has no way to access the GBA's link port. Same reason why you can't use the DS's wireless link to play multiplayer GBA games wirelessly, or play regular DS games wirelessly via WPA even when running on a 3DS that can handle it with 3DS games.
