Yes I will finish all my PSP games first then jump to the Vita (by then I hope the games will drop a tad in price since I have a huge list of RPGs to get through).
So far I got my eyes on these Vita games:

Ragnarok Odyssey
Silent Hill
Uncharted
Gravity Rush
Disgaea 3

However it doesn't pull me bad enough to want to get a Vita right away. Probably wait for Persona 4 Golden bundle or something.

How many games will it take to convince you to get a Vita (or pick it up again?)

I just got the Vita while I could, while I had the money to, and now I'm just waiting for games to fill up my library.

If gaming news is any indicator though, they will come like a tidal wave instead of a slow leak.

-2.

I was sold on Gravity Rush.
Ragnarok Odyssey (imported it) and Ninja Gaiden also have turned out to be quite fun.

Only beat Gravity Rush (played a lot at home). But of course, I generally only play my vita at work, since any other time i'm sitting at my computer at home...and honestly i'm not going to play a handheld at home unless it's a game I would make out with if it had a physical form to do so (Zero Escape will be a fantastic example of this).

There's also a bunch of PSP games I own that just look gorgeous on my Vita. Gonna be playing a lot of VC2 when i'm done with my vita titles.

By then there should be even more games i'll want to be playing on my vita.

I see that Gamestop (which I cant really get in my country) is selling that white vita bundle with AC3 with that Enzio retractable blade replica. Looks interesting.

Really no chance for a Persona bundle? :(

1-If there will be Monster Hunter (highly unlikely), definitely going to immediately buy it.
3-Any of their exclusive titles like God of War, Infamous, Dark Cloud, Patapon, etc.
And some of the titles like Kingdom Hearts, and perhaps some new IP.
I'd really love to see a new full premium game IP on the PSV.

Really no chance for a Persona bundle? :(

Persona isn't really a big brand outside of Japan and it doesn't get the name recognition and sales that Assassin's Creed does. So yeah, I'd seriously doubt it.

Although apparently if you pre-order the game you get a free Vita skin or something.

Bummer.

Yeah I saw that. Yellow like a banana lol Unfortunately I haven't gotten into the Persona series as of yet and have absolutely no idea who the characters are on it.

im waiting for that one big game before i purchase it just like i did with the psp.

Could you be more specific in which game and also which game convinced you to get the original PSP?
i dunno still waiting to see that one big game to where i see the trailer and be like i must have it, as for the psp it was crisis core: Final fantasy 7 that convinced me to buy a psp.

There was only 1 from the OP's list that I want but don't have yet and thats Ragnarok Odyssey.

I already got Disgaea and Gravity Daze and just bought P4G.

Huh? Where did you buy P4G? Which version is that?
I have the Japanese edition and I imported it from YesAsia. I was gonna get the Asian edition but both Korean and Chinese is much harder for me to understand than Japanese.

Oh you are so lucky to understand :( I wish I could learn Japanese from a younger age. Would have been easier to read and enjoy all those hidden Japanese games out there.

Okay here's a question that makes me feel stupid, I see that there is Asian versions of P4G, so that would mean its not in English, am I correct?

I'm not really that lucky, I can understand it when its spoken to me and I can read a little but writing i'm not very good at, i'm terrible with Kanji, it took me google searches to figure out which katakana made up the kanji letter cause I was reading it wrong.

Sorry none of the Asian and Chinese versions has english text and that wasn't a stupid question, I was curious about that before I bought my copy so I asked around, there was rumors that the Chinese version might get english text but thats just a rumor.

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

    I dread the price point.

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150

Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
