Hey Kickstarters!

We are Aeipathy Industries, and we are here to talk to you about our most ambitious project to date, Zeldamotion! We finally made it to Kickstarter to ask the fans for help and tell you a bit more about our tribute to one of our all time favorite Legend of Zelda storylines, A Link to the Past.

Zeldamotion is our ongoing effort to convert the Akira Himekawa Legend of Zelda manga books into a fully animated, fully scored, and fully voiced animated series. This fan project was created for the purpose to provide current and future Zelda fans with a cost-free, ad-free, cinematic experience telling the stories we love and sharing them with those who may have missed out on them.

It's not going too well. Looks like we have to pitch in for this one. :)

I'm not so sure about this one, it's ALTTP so it's hard not to like but I don't necessarily feel this needs to exist especially with the overabundance of Kickstarters these days. I would prefer something official akin what Nintendo did to promote Kid Icarus: Uprising, not a fan project.

Think Nintendo will donate a C&D order to this?
That depends. I hear C&D's can cost quite a bit of money.

As much as I don't want to agree to this, it's kind of hard not to. Well, we'll see though.

This doesn't look fully animated to me, it looks like a motion comic.

Ya know, getting the artwork to look just like the source comic (in this case manga), overuse of effects and manipulation of the illustrations with one or two pieces actually moving like an arm or lips, etc.

Oh c'mon...

Kickstarts for everything nowadays. It's just pointless, i do hope if they get the money to do it that nintendo drops them a C&D.

I just hate that everything now is showing up on that god damn platform.

If they call themselfs "Aeipathy Industries" then DO something about your name, dont just go asking for fricking donations for your FIRST actual work.

From I understand of the video they have made some appreciated work before this. I totally agree with you, the point of kickstarter has changed as of late and everyone is looking for donations now. But I support this more than I would support the cheetahmen II kickstarter.

Vic Mignogna has done load of voice acting. Pokémon, Naruto, Dragonball, Bleach, loads of videogames. (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0586003/)

That Todd Haberkorn might have the gayest voice ever.

...Not that there's anything wrong with that! But for Link, it just makes him gay.

If it will be just 1 shot its ok, but i never really cared for speaking Nintendo characters, even less if they speak in english instead of japanese, it just awful to me. I remark TO ME.

Motion comics can be quite good though, check out the Watchmen Motion Comic series.

I seem to be the only one wanting to help the cause. >_> And have no problems with this at all.

Even though I have no money...

Sure thing! That watchmen motion comic is brilliantly done! Captures the comic feel, with enough animations for it.
The Zelda "movie" however, looks like fan made photoshop drawings copying the manga, and use common flash-animation techniques for animating it... It looks stale and isn't fully animated in my eyes.
