Ohay! I tried to install Wad manager 1.7. I have created a folder called Wad Mananger v17 in the apps folder on my sd card, but when I try to mount the sd card to install the wads in the application, it gives me ERROR RET = -1

Any ideas?

Sounds familiar!

Try to install CIOS 236 and CIOS 249.
These IOSes do you need a lot and solve a lot of problems.
If you want to install a wad now, choose for IOS 249 or CIOS 236, CIOS236 is recommend!

Also, first check out if you have enough free space on the WII itself!

Your next problem shall be "I can't play my copied pirate channels via SD Card menu" ;) You can slove these with a IOS 80 patch.

Hope this was helpful. It solved a lot of problems for me.

oh and a tip: WAD manager 1.4 is the best and user-friendliest :)
New isn't always better.

IOS 236 is a CIOS.
if you have them then when yopu are asked which ios to load use ios 236
also don't use wad manager 1.7 it can brick your wii. use YAWMM (Yet another Wad Manager Mod) or MMM (MKulti Mod manager.

I do sometimes also get errors when installing wads. One possible reason is the wad file you're trying to install is corrupt. I had the same problem with LoZ Ocarina of Time, 1st I had a problem installing it then I re-downloaded the wad file then it installed perfectly.

If this fails, try using other WAD managers like YAWMM.

I encounter some problems with Wad Manager 1.7 so now I use YAWMM and it is better

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

@SylverReZ, i think they have been doing that since late 2000s

Either that or their old games were unfinished aswell but we can't notice it

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare
