Any suggestion on a way to rip my real discs to put them on the EXTERNAL? WiiBackupManager on pc won't touch them, of course. And while SD might have been how it started, it's not my preferred location to store the games.

Yes I would use a beta of USB Loader GX, releases of WiiFlow and/or maybe CleanRip also can do this. USB Loader GX works for me, I personally use with all compression/alignment turned off as they work in both Devolution and DM for me.

There are also tools (if you have right drive, I think many from LG like LG GDR-8163 work with some backup tools, too much trouble though - easier to use Wii or by used 2nd Wii just for backup.

Ok so, I don't know if this has been answered recently (there was stuff early in the thread but it didn't work) but I get a black screen no matter what I do for launching from USB. I have tried installing wads for 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 but nothing seems to work, no game. My originals don't boot up either and sits on the same black screen (though I read it does not allow booting originals?). All it does when trying to boot is make my hard drive LED go crazy
I have a friend with the same hard drive who has gotten it to work (a lacie 500gb porche model) but I've had no such luck.
DML works though, and I have no problem loading it on a sd card beforehand but that's really time consuming and this would be more convenient but if not I'm fine with that!
Any thoughts?
was wondering if anyone still had thoughts/suggestions for this?
I looked at the FAQ, it is formatted with fat32 with 32kb clusters, and it is the primary partition (only partition, really) and the drive should be supported if y friend is using the same model

Ok tested NTSC version of Mario Golf = worked first time! PAL version will not boot on my PAL console no matter what. tested on DM 2.2 v3 wiiflowmod r615

I'll check when I get home from work but I'm sure the version I have is PAL.
Its weird man, my PAL version would not boot for blood, sweat or tears or anything, but low and behold the NTSC rip I download works first time :) strange :)

100% PAL on a PAL console

I am having trouble saving in the Harvest Moon Wonderful Life games and Super Smash Bros. Melee. Any suggestions?

http://gbatemp.net/t...d-memory-cards/
@CGx90: I'm not having any issues saving with a real memory card on SSBM version 1.0 NTSC. Maybe delete the saves in question from the Wii menu and try again?

I tried this with all three games to no avail. Just makes a new save when I boot the game and says its corrupted.
Mario Kart Double Dash and Luigi's Mansion both had their data corrupt on me, but Kirby Air Ride is fine... I can't reformat my GC memory card because the whole thing isn't corrupt, but any time I make a new save a reload a game, I get a corrupted save. Utterly lost. :/

Dios Mios is working for me aside for the problem detailed above.

However, I put DM Lite on two friends' Wiis and they both try to load games and freeze on GCLoader 0.4 saying "Loading apploader . . ."

Help?

DM lite doesn't like the sd card they are using. I had similar issues when using DML.

Try an older version of it like R59. That version worked perfect for me with my card. If i upgraded to a newer DML it would freeze at the screen you mentioned.

Where should I get it? The old revs dont have download links anymore.
You can get everything you need to build the r59mod WAD file here
http://www.mediafire...qk17b9hubiki4v7
(that's the last SD card version that didn't have that problem.)

I unRARed that file, opened it, and clicked the create wad batch and it created and installed correctly. Unfortunately, when I try to boot a game, the Wii stays on (green light), but with no video output. This is on the first friend's Wii.

On the Second friend's Wii, DML1.5 is still installed, but anytime he loads a game it just boots the game in the disc drive.

And on my Wii, I have the latest DM loading from my USB and am having those memory card problems.

Alright, my computer crashed while typing the last post so I'll TRY to make this brief

A black screen could be a bunch of things.
- Make sure you have a clean BC v6 installed
- It could be a wrong setting for a video mode, NMM, NoDisk, etc.
- make sure it's not a bad dump. Does it happen with all games you've tried?

DML 1.5 needs the boot method set to something like "New 2.1-" and not "old" or "new 2.1+" in DM(L) Booter for it to work (other loaders use different words to say the same thing)

With your memory card
- make sure NMM is turned off for those games.
- try taking it out and putting it back in when you get the corrupt memory card message (works for me)
- if you have the retail disk handy try loading the game through the disk channel in your and your friend's Wiis with their different versions of DM(L) or even try loading the disk image from SD their versions of DML or even with a clean original Nintendo v10 MIOS.
- use data management in the system menu to transfer the save file to a different memory card and see if it recognizes it from there.
- it could just be that your save file got corrupt (which would suck). You could always delete the save file with data management in the system menu and start a new one with the game.

Just updated DIOS-MIOS Booter to r30, changes:

Good work on r30, is it possible to have a rev that will let me change page at a time (or is this avail?) I have a large amount of backups an it takes forever sometime to get to them when testing DM Booter with DM games..

Hi, with the latest version of DM (2.2 (2012-07-20)) for real-nand (wad) remains the problem of blocked first party-original controls.

With the xNeek+DI version they work correctly.
I hope someday this issue is fixed.

for users with blackscreen, it's not really helping to say just "I have blackscreen problem".

There are different kind of blackscreen.
First, is it before OR after the DIOS MIOS logo?
If it's before, then it's mostly because your HDD is not mounted/detected correctly. If you had a USB Gecko you would see that DM try to mount it and fail.

If it's after, then there are two different things too:
- is it freezing (no sound, no graphics, no activity at all) ?
- Is is just that you don't see any picture, but you can play blindly ? you hear the music, you can press buttons, you can play it, it's just that your TV doesn't detect the video signal?

If it's the first one, try launching the game again. I had 1 or 2 times this problem, DM boot but then stop doing anything.
ff it's the later, then it's a video setting error in your loader. Try using "Disc default" if you can change that setting, and enable "Auto". Also, don't always use Progressive mode/patch the first time, try the game without it.

Of course, having a USB Gecko would help, as games are hanging after booting (like Luigi's mansion did when freezing on the logo).

I have a blackscreen issue with TimeSplitters: Futur Perfect (PAL) - French Version.
Game ID: G3FF69
MD5: 0E451D7F41D5D5843FD666C6F07A8537

Game will boot fine on Dolphin.

Issue: Tried starting the game with different video settings, eventually reached the ingame video mode selection screen (before title screen) then froze right after with a black screen too,
but 99% of the time, booting the game resulted in a dead black screen after Dios Mios logo.
(No sound, wii stays on, no image)

Loader used: USB Loader GX r1200, Dios Mios Booter r30.

No need to say I tried several times before posting here :P

maybe your lens is dirty.
my Wii have difficulty reading discs, even on the disc channel on the system menu I have the question mark logo instead of the disc loading.
I (suppose) get apploader size is zero when the disc is not recognized. a retry would be great after eject/reinsert without the need to reboot DM.

I should clean it up.
