...Right, I'm going to ignore you now.

A sale's a sale no matter how you look at it. Add one extra word onto the title and all of a sudden it's special? :/
His point was that this is a yearly event, not just a normal random sale. In addition it's not just one or two games at a slight discount, there's like 50+ games in the sale, often going for 50-75% off. Even titles that normally get just a small discount (mainly recent games

So no, this is not a normal random sale. It's a huge sale, a yearly event, with tons of money saved on tons of games. Therefore it is information that is new and that many people would like to hear about and would gain from, so it's news as far as I'm concerned.

Iono, kinda hard to be thinking of it as a yearly event when they have huge sales like this multiple times a year.

My wallet has stayed firmly in my back pocket so far. Though I'm pissed that Skyrim wasn't in the Bethesda bundle during the holiday sale when I bought it and now it's in the Summer Sale bundle. My jimmies are unstable as hell right now.

You haven't bought a game, with all the deals they got on? D:

Most games that I would want I already have. I'll probably come away with this with an extremely cheap skyrim deal.

I can't wait for tomorrow...i love these Steam sales :D

Wow I completely failed to finish a sentence in that post...

Anyways if this was something mundane that didn't matter to people it wouldn't be news, but a huge sale on a ton of games is something this forum likes.

I do, and have Steam, and bought tons of games from Sales throughout the year.

:O Then shame on you for speaking that way!

Just... just.. you know.. just hang your head in embarrassment and walk away.
No.

I don't know why you are being negative about such a sale that makes everyone jump for joy.

Is there a bundle of some sort for Call of Duty, like maybe 2, 4, 5, and 6 in one special deal, or something? The activision bundle is lacking imo.

Do you really want to buy 6 copies of the same game? Ha! I kid, I kid.

Anyway, so...yeah, seems like some folks just want to come in here and shit on everyone's happy mood about this sale. Whether you like it or not, people like to spend less money on the games they enjoy. I know, crazy. What I won't have is people coming in here and Threadshitting. If You don't like the sale, say your piece and move on. It's preferrable you don't post in this thread at all and just move on to a thread that you have actual interest in. You're fighting a losing battle trying to convince this entire forum that this steam sale is anything less than amazing, although paying less money for my games is, IMO, amazing, I might be a bit biased.

tl;dr: Threadshitting will not be tolerated. Also, this sale is amazing.

I'm not being negative. I love sales just as much as the next guy, I just don't see how or why it's news, that's all. Totally different.

To be fair, this is is more worthy of the "news" title than some of the crap that gets posted in USN. That, and any news source that has anything to do with gaming is shitting their pants over the summer sale, and have at least one article posted about it. If not more. I really don't see a reason why this shouldn't be here.

Off-Topic: This is probably a dumb question, but I'll ask here anyway as this is related to Steam.
So, I'm probably going to buy some games that won't run properly on my current Computer, however, next month, I'm getting a new PC with better configs.
My question is, after I get the new PC and install Steam, will I be able to get all of the games I have right now?
Thanks.

On-Topic: Awesome sale.

Yes, you can re-download them. Keep in mind though, if you have steam installed on more than one computer, you can only run 1 copy of the game at a time.

Also, if you have them downloaded to your computer already, you can backup and restore so you don't need to waste time and bandwidth re-downloading them.

So I finally caved and bought Rayman Origins for $14.99. These flash deals got me all confused. I don't know whether to wait for a daily deal or just buy it.

Oh well, I got Rayman Origins!

If you're buying a game during a big Steam sale, You should only buy bundles(as in the big collection bundles on the front page), dailys deals, flash deals, at the start, If whatever you want to buy doesn't show up as a daily or a flash deal by the last day. buy it then. If something is a daily or a flash deal it's the cheapest it's ever going to be in the sale.

Star Wars-Force Unleashed 2 is the latest flash sale, 75% off, about £3, it's mine now

Is it me or is the link to 'Summer Sale Guide' on first post 'wrong' ???

I click on it & it sends me to my Google Logon
- I'm assuming it's suppose to go to soulsX's Google Doc account for a list or something

just a small update i noticed on one of the flash sales, not only is the force unleashed 2 75% off, the first one is as well, so yet again about £3 for both

no the link works, just checked it now, and it isn't SoulX's. The general guideline of the guide is don't buy anything unless it is the daily deal, if there is a game you want and it don't come buy it on the last day of the sale

Who else is waiting for the Dead Space bundle ? :D (or at the very least single game discounts)

i didn't even play it so much :(
