So there's been all this talk going on about 3DS games getting DLC (though Mario Kart 7 is the only one to get it thus far, in the form of a maintenance update). If you had the choice, what kind of DLC would you add to currently released 3DS games? Discuss. I'll add mine in a bit.

PS: I know fully well that current 3DS games may not even get any DLC. This is all just for fun. :)

A better practice mode for Kid Icarus: Uprising. It could have options for real-time toggling of CPU character actions, item testing, etc. Kinda like practice mode in the Smash Bros. games.

I don't care if that's all it added. I would pay 6 bucks for that right there!

Other then that, if were talking DLC overall and not just as far as add-ons I would say they port over atleast the biggest DS titles to a digital format. Hell, I would buy most of my library over again just for that.

If just add-ons then I would love to see some new gamemodes and stages for KI along with voice chat (though seeing how laggy it can already be at times this may not be the best thing to add) I think a Juggernaut-like mode would be great, or a traditional TDM without the whole angel thing (even though I would still play LvD TBH) CTF and Capture points/ Attack&Defend don't seem like they would work out, but a coin match does seem good.

an option for stock-based matches would be kind of nice, too. i really like that capture point idea, though!

Oh, and how about competitive mutiplayer for Super Mario 3D Land? A race to the finish on any level both players have unlocked!

And Mario Kart 7...

Anyway, sure new tracks for MK7
New levels for Sonic Generations
Knuckles for Sonic Generations

that's about it from me!...

And Mario Kart 7...
Grr! Sorry, I MEANT to say Mario Kart 7, not SM3DL! *facepalm* Sorry about that! :P

**EDIT**
Another idea for Uprising... how about a free-for-all match where your weapons do no damage (but they still can knock people over, paralyze them, etc). There are Daybreaker parts EVERYWHERE, and the only way to make KOs is with the Daybreaker?

I want games to be complete on the cart so i dont have to fill up my my SD card with DLC the game developers were too lazy to include at the start. Besides, The kind of things i want added to games i already own are things that are beyond the capabilities of a simple DLC patch.

Mario kart needed a mission mode, starfox needed online, OOT needed master quest unlocked at the start.

One thing i would love more than anything tho is the ability to create tracks on mario kart and race them online (Like the awesome GRID did for the DS)

You are aware DLC can add all of those things right? And nothing is wrong with simple additions to games that are already complete from the start. Its when they do shit like putting it on disc and then making you buy it thats fucked up. But I doubt any of these things could even fill up that kind of space on the pack without being put in the game.

-> A multiplayer mode (with download & play support) and a hard mode for SM3DL - with no Tanookis and no Life Mushroms (poison mushroms on their place would be nice!); no checkpoints; small mario after losing a life; less time to clear a stage; no help boxes (this shouldnt even be in the actual game!); different enemies placement; mirrored levels (just to be a little more different.); faster and tougher bosses; save points only after clearing the last level of a world, but allowing to save any time after beating the game once (this should give a reason to have lives)... phew, I think that's all! And if this wasn't free, Nintendo could add some 4-6 new crown-level-like levels (with a more interesting theme and background, of course) to make it worth our money.
-> A multiplayer mode and some streetpass support for OoT 3D would be nice too. No idea of how could it be, but I'd let Nintendo surprise me...

MK7 was not the only, mighty switch force got new levels.

And DLC is outside nintendo culture. I hope it change, but I do not hope anything more than technical updates for now.

Well, first, Nintendo will never charge DLC, this is already official. Second, Mario games are not meant to be ultra-hard games, it is out of concept. If you like hard games, is better look for adult franchises.

What about the Japanese SMB2 and SMB3? They were hard... And I thought that the Prankster Star missions on Mario Galaxy 2 were really hard as well (at least the ones that I played).
Nowadays it seems like out of concept, but that's why I suggested this as a DLC! It's not required for people to download it, so only the ones who'd like a harder version would get it.
BTW, what do you mean by adult "franchises"?

Franchises that do not target kids as main customers.

I'd add new tracks and kart parts for Mario kart 7, I'd add new content in general to animal crossing (if it ever launches that is), Maybe even an expansion on a Zelda game, i'd pay for an extra dungeon or two. If Nintendo actually does this thing right then we could all be very well off.

I want more Mario Kart tracks just like everyone else! Also, it'd be pretty cool to have some new worlds in Super Mario 3D Land even though I never see that happening.

...they aren't necessarily hard.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that SM3DL's S worlds aren't that easy. The problem is that the game saves every time you clear a stage, and at that point most people would have more than 200 lives, rendering game-overs impossible.
