Originally this thread was me asking how to obtain most warlords but now i noticed how too so i will update this with help as i go along!
In order to get warlords who ran off and are running wild on the map, must be battled with your hero and defeated in under 4 turns or finishing them off with super effective moves before letting an ally get hurt.

Hideyoshi - After finishing game beat his Special Episode.
Motonori - Wifi Event/Special Episode.
Motochika - Wifi Event/ Special Episode.
Ginchiyo - Randomly on the map after she runs off.
Yoshihiro - Randomly on map after he runs off.
Kenshin - Part of story, joins automatically.
Shingen - Part of story, joins automatically.
Yoshimoto - Randomly on the map after he runs off.
Muneshige - Randomly on the map.
Yukimura - Randomly on map.
Kunoichi - Randomly on map.
Aye - Randomly on map.
Kanetsugu - Randomly on map.

I was wondering anyone who played through the japanese one how do you befriend most of the warlords!? Like Ginchiyo, Yoshimoto etc.

It's explained in the game: when you find another warlord in the game, you have to beat him within 4 turns, then you can recruit him automatically after the battle.

More than that, you can beat them using a super-effective move too.
There's a download event that'll get the water and grass castle Warlords to become allies as well.

Also I'm not sure if all Warlords can be recruited just like that, Warriors definitely but I'm not sure about Warlords.

The main warlords are usually either story events or wifi downloads (like the water and grass ones)
The everyday/generic warriors are usually recruited by beating in under four turns, but sometimes they don't.

also, there's a thread for this game already. This could have been asked there. This is going to get ridiculous if each question gets it's own thread.

No the game tells you which ones are warlords and which are worriers by the color where there pokemon are its ether "Gold" or "Silver" Gold = Warlords etc but its by luck i just got one of the story warlords by beating him after he runs off took awhile though for him to join! also i needed to make a different thread cuz all that thread has is how to make the game work -.-!

EDIT: I think in oder to get warlords that have run off and aren't obtainable after you beat the game you must use your hero in the battle against them and not your Worriers i just did it twice while having my hero and got 2 story warlords that have run off!

What? In battle, the little icons above pokemon are wild pokemon that can be recruited, the gold or silver marking tells you how compatible that pokemon is with the trainer that you're moving. Unless you're talking about the world map, then I don't know.

And nah, that thread is for everything.

Notice how the top two are gold and the bottom ones are silver! Top ones are Warlords and Bottom ones are Worriers!
