I have this horrible horrible itch to play Gamecube. My Paper Mario disc snapped like 2 weeks after I bought it so I was stuck with it and with the stores being wiped out I have no way of getting another. I found an iso of the game, and can burn it to a disc, but I need to know if it's possible to boot the wii backup channel or gamecube backup channel without using a wii remote, since we lent them out and the person is away this weekend. I was going to get an actual gamecube but with the stores being cleared out it's not like I could satisfy that itch cause there's like no more games. My friend is suggesting priiloader but I never installed it. Is there any way I can navigate the menu without a wii remote? Or create some autoboot priiloader or bootmii disc that'll load when I insert it in the wii? Thanks.
Autoboot disc is possible, but it's a somewhat complicated process. First install priiloader and you can navigate it with GC controller. After that you're on your own, unless someone helps you.

Well, there is no way to navigate the system menu with a GC controller. As for an autoboot disc, you would need a trucha patched System Menu IOS, as well as either DARKCORP or a modchip installed. You could navigate Priiolader or Bootmii with a GC controller, but you can't install them with one.

So Darkcorp is a bootable iso? then what?
DarkCORP basically makes your Wii more vulnerable and easy to hack.

Install priiloader > fakesign System IOS > install neogamma > autoboot neogamma > install cMIOS (wiipower v10) IOS base 56 (249) > plug a GC memory card and GC controller.

Once you turn on the Wii, it'll take you to Neogamma then you can navigate options using the GC controller (you'd still need at least to power on the Wii using a wiimote, tough)

Didn't you read? you can't install priiloader without a Wiimote.

EDIT: off topic but wow replies are coming fast!

So there's no bootable iso dvds that will allow me to access the Homebrew Channel or anything without some sort of navigation of the wii menu?

You can make a bootable ISO yourself, but, as I said before, it's hard. About the sports mat theory, just TRY, it might work.
It's not hard. Just hexedit one bit or download a simple app and drag and drop the ISO on to it. Of course, GC games are not autobootable. And his sports mat isn't going to help him a single bit more than what his gamecube controller would.

Do you have Bootmii boot2 installed?
If you had bootmii as boot2, you could boot the Wii directly in Homebrew Channel, which is working with GC Controller.

I think you'll have to wait for your friend :(

Edit:
@Coto
He doesn't have a Wiimote to install priiloader. your first step can't be done.

Nevermind, I thought he didn't have bootmii as boot2.
Even if he doesn't have bootmii in boot2 he can still install priiloader without a wiimote.

Install modchip->insert burned copy of PAL SSBB->use GC controller to get to RM->navigate SSBB with GC controller to launch exploit->install via hackmii installer->exit hackmii installer and go straight to hbc->launch priiloader installer->press A on gc controller to install priiloader->restart wii while holding down RESET on the wii to bring up the priiloader menu->PROFIT!!!

the power button is on the wii itself. No need for a wiimote to power on a wii.

I was saying, by any means, if he could physically access the power button on Wii itself, he'd just re-sync another wiimote but...

There are currently no wii remotes in this household it's kinda aggravating me rn

You don't have another one lying around. Since you said your wii was lying on the store shelf Nevermind, I read wrong.

If you don't have either a wiimote nor priiloader, I can only think of a hardmod to run HBC (like deadlyfoez said), plug a GC controller then install priiloader.
