The two of them are just so similar in their function that it's hard not to compare them but while comparing them is fine I guess with DM we at least know plenty about DML so there isn't as much to speculate so when Devolution get's mentioned people just get going on it and can't stop (especially with it's AP which seems to be such a hot topic here.)

Actually, I'm sure this could be considered off topic too since some of the deleted posts were actually about being off topic (My poor posts  ) so I have to make some comment about DM so that my post doesn't get toasted (J/K)

DIOS MIOS and Devolution both serve a similar function, but differ in approach. One appears to use a custom MIOS and run in Gamecube mode, while the other runs under normal IOS in Wii mode. Although I'm curious to know if that makes much, if any, difference in game performance, I'm thinking that for the end user the major differences will come down to the user interface design.

Like I expected, Crediar was waiting for donations to release this, fair enough, he deserves to ask for donations for his hard work, it's good news that DM didn't get canceled!

I just came back from the mall, been looking for Hard Drives, if DM comes out I hope by those who test it if they can confirm it working with NTFS or must it be FAT32, cause I'm still not sure how to split WBFS files that are bigger than 4Gb in FAT32 and I'm worried to ruin the games I got!

Hooray!! DM beta release on the horizon... Shit I'm pissed I didn't donate any sooner, and there's nothing wrong with requesting not demanding donations. Donations seem to be another off-topic, derailing, hot-topic point of discussion around here lol

Edit: major typing retardation fix lol

A donation from me was rejected because they (or at least snikerz) didn't want me to have a say in anything.

WiiBackupFusion converts ISO images back into split WBFS files so they can fit on FAT32 partitions just fine. And it's a very easy to use.

It's the same with all backup managers, and all loaders when you rip games.

Please explain
If you don't remember it, then maybe it wasn't you (it has been awhile). It was someone on the DML dev team.

Burton was going to donate in my name (I didn't ask) and somebody said no, donation rejected.

You could split your external hard drive into 2 partitions using EASEUS Partition Manager Home Edition and setting the FAT32 partition as Primary. That's what I did for my Maxtor 320GB, as I have my NTFS partition reserved for Wii wbfs files and GameCube ISOs for DML USB Loading que via USB Loader GX 3.0, while my FAT32 partition is used for classic ROMs.

Whenever DM is publicly released, I will simply delete the GameCube ISOs from the NTFS partition, resize my FAT32 partition, and copy the GameCube ISOs on my PC back onto the FAT32 partition, provided that DM is FAT32-only at the start. :)

It's like Project64, "donate" to participate in the 1.7 beta.
There is a difference, though, that probably has to do with all our talk about asking for donations. This time looks like it's only OLD donors who get to participate so you can't buy your way into a preview.

Except DIOS MIOS will probably get released some day, where as PJ64 v1.7 has been a "beta" for like 5 years (maybe more).

WiiBackupFusion? I shall look for this, does it convert .iso to .wbfs and split it for FAT32? also what if I wanted the .iso file again say to use on Dolphin, can I repack these two .wbfs files to one pack without the game being damaged?
Use WiiBackupManager. Yes and yes.

im glad to see this on the horizon, if people donated they deserve to get a gift, i'd do the same in crediars position. im pretty sure PJ64 has been in 1.7 beta for about 8 years now, feels like 10 years.

heres to DM being released, finally bringing wii hacks full circle.
