Perhaps Crediar is revisiting USB loading for Gamecube games....

https://code.google.com/p/diosmios/

Don't worry, it's still pretty easy to find your way around there.

He put a "?" mark. So I think that is good enough and doesn't need to be renamed.

Who knows, maybe its back, maybe its not.

I think DIOS MIOS Lite is pretty damn good. Just buy a 32gb or 16gb SD card and you are good to go.

DIOS MIOS is just icing on the cake.

Although there's little to go on at the moment, the prospect of two homebrew Gamecube USB loaders is pretty exciting.

WODE has been available for a few years now and it's a pretty good hardware solution; but doesn't support audio streaming. A software-based GC USB loader with full audio streaming support would be a dream come true for a lot of Gamecube fans, allowing both Wii and GC games on a USB drive. SD loading is fine, but USB loading is better, IMO.

If DIOS MIOS is actually reintroduced, will it include both USB & SD support or just two separate versions (Lite & Standard)?

It doesn't really matter because an SD card is just generally smaller. And not everyone has an external drive (though I wish). Just get a 16/32 GB card.

"What can I say, Impossible is nothing and never give up!
After looking at DM again I managed to solve the MEM2/ARAM issues by changing the USB code and some other stuff to make it work without MEM2.
DM has the same compatibility as the current DML version, of course the reads are much faster as you can already see in this video."

From crediar's comments above, it would appear that he managed to find a way to allow USB functionality while running in Gamecube mode (GC uses ARAM but not MEM2). It will be interesting to compare DIOS MIOS with Devolution once they are both released. I'm particularly interested to know if increasing the clock rates of the CPU and GPU by 1.5 x in Wii mode has any impact on performance when running GC games using Devolution.

The big question for me is if DM requires SNEEK only or is it possible to real nand (just like DML)?

I do hope it works with a real NAND, as my HDD doesn't support UNEEK for some reason. I can get it to boot about one out of ten times, but having to hold the power button every time is incredibly annoying.
