Well if our Sun burned out, collapsed under it's own gravity and turned into a blackhole, the Earth would get sucked in, along with the rest of our solar system and more.

the mayan calendar is a lot more accurate than the calendar we use now so it doesn't need the leap year correction. they figured it out long before we did and built it into their cycle.

The only end of the world theory that I know of from a Polytheistic religion would be the Mayan one. (Not saying there aren't anymore, I just don't know of them.)

you can't just be disassociating the "crazies" from the mainstream by labeling them occults whenever you find it convenient. yes there may be smaller groups of christians crazier than the rest, but all sects require a fair amount of crazy to subscribe.
