Hacking 3DS System Update April 25th! Will Flashcards still work?

Just uupdated and there is no way to create folders, just a new ui on the eshop

Dude, just click on any of free space, there you'll see a button "Create a folder"

No they won't...

What will happen is what happens EVERY SINGLE TIME!
Nintendo releases update, makes most flashcards blocked, flashcard is patched and works again.
Nothing new is going to happen and it's safe to just update, cause you can always patch your flashcard.

Nintendo of America announced that there will be an Update for the 3DS on April 25th. What I'm wondering is what are the chances of Flashcards continuing to work with the update without needing an upgrade of the Flashcard firmware. I myself have a Supercard DSTwo and was wondering if I needed to wait for an update to it before updating my 3DS in order to keep using it.

Acekard 2i with the newest firmware is working on the new 3ds firmware update because I just update my 3ds system last night and my Acekards card still works.

Yes.. that's exactly how...

Usage:

Create: Click on an empty space and an option "Create Folder" will be visible

Click: If you click on a folder "Settings" & "Open" appear

Settings: A menu comes up with "Delete" / "Rename"

Inserting apps: Click & Hold on an icon and drag it into the folder...

(The icon of the folder has the first letter on it (all resolutions))

The actual folder appearance needs work, aside from only displaying one letter, not even two, you can't even change their colour.
Useful functionality though, made 7 folders already.

So I have a R4i gold I checked the site (http://www.r4ids.cn/news.htm) and it said that it worked with then new update but I updated and it doesnt work...?

I get the an error has occurred prees and hold the power button to turn the system off. please check the mauual blah blah...

EDIT: i updated mine with this patch with my DSL from www.R4ids.cn and it then worked my bad for not doing this before i updated

I think the reason they made the one letter is so people could make funny labels on their 3ds...

I just updated my 3DS and my acekard 2i doesn't work anymore. there is an update apparently but i've not yet to see.

I like the update, a few good improvements there. I do wish the folders could have icons instead of the first letter of the title, though. Also, the system menu doesn't seem to take into account there's less items, still giving you the same amount of free icon space.

Can you not just press the single square to zoom in anyway? I mean I know the empty ones are still there but yeah, it makes a lot of that free space at least not be visible.

You can, indeed. I have my zoom level at 15 items per page and I just compressed all the items to a single page, yet I can still scroll the menu 7 times through 105 unused spaces. Seem rather unnecessary, it would be nice if shrink it down a bit. I'm not complaining, though, I'm happy with the update.

eshop -> manual -> page 12 "Settings / other" -> Functions -> scan QR code "you can scan QR code images that contain the following information: 1. download codes. 2. Nintendo 3DS prepaid card numbers. 3. Links to titles in Nintendo eShop"

i guess thats what i get for not reading the manual sooner.

I can confirm that Acekard2i updated with latest firmware ("Deep Labyrinth" game icon, 2012/04/17) works on April 25 update (EU).

Acekard 2i with the last update DS 144 with the sword icon is working fine on the 3ds update. I confirm it.

I can confirm that the newest patch update for the dstwo card ( can download under the download section on the supercard website ) works with the new 3DS firmware update.

Make sure you update your dstwo BEFORE you update the 3ds.

Now you can enjoy folders, and your dstwo.
