Cubes are 30 dollars xd
Such a shame...
The Cube was a total flop in Poland - I've seen those sell for as little as $20, often with multiple games and pads included.

Honestly? Spare parts sell for more than whole Gamecubes lol.

Lol
Thats pretty neat.

Cubes here also usually comes with several controllers and games but not more then 2

Again I will go with the SNES. The game choice is half remakes of SNES games in the DS, and what isn't, is not typically worth my time. The only credible thing with the DS is touch screen, and portability. Backwards compatibility? Debatable.

SNES still has the more memorable games, the controller is still the base design for every controller out there, and was a huge leap in gaming capability compared to it's previous console. DS? Eh, not really. Yes, 3D graphics became possible, but even then, most of the games that were 3D on the DS should have been ported to a console, really, to make the graphics worthwhile.

Uhm... you don't seem to be familiar with the DS's library, the SNES ports are... an incredibly small portion of it. o.o

Yeah, other than *complete backwards compatibility with every GBA game ever made*. O.o;

No it's not, it hasn't been for decades. O.O

and was a huge leap in gaming capability compared to it's previous console.
Fair play. -.-

DS? Eh, not really.
Except being aprox. 8 times as strong CPU-wise and having much more memory? O.O;

Uhm... the DS has a good few *gorgeous* 3D games, have you not heard of Phantasy Star Zero? Or Dementium? Games that make you scratch your head and wonder how the hell did they even manage this with limited resources? X.X

C'mon man... this is Nostalgia speaking.

Between the two... I'd say that the SNES had the bigger impact and the greater game library. The DS, while certainly a good console, just doesn't compare.

That's right, I'm calling BS on the DS. Ya heard?

Maybe not, but the games I heard the most about was remakes, not really any originals

Yeah, other than *complete backwards compatibility with every GBA game ever made*. O.o;

Didn't say it wasn't a credible feature, just not something that makes it for me.

No it's not, it hasn't been for decades. O.O

ABXY, LR, Start/select buttons, yeah, started on the SNES. They haven't differentiated from it much in terms of other controllers.

Fair play. -.-

I figured XD

Talk specs all you want, but if the specs aren't used appropriately, then it means nothing. Beautiful things were created on the SNES with the graphics available. With the DS, it just isn't "appealing".

Heard of PSZero, but only heard, haven't seen. No idea what the freak Dementium is. And, by the way, they pulled off the same thing with the SNES, making people wonder how on earth said graphics were possible for the day and age.

Somewhat, yes, but the SNES nostalgia for me was when I was also a very young kid. The DS, when it came out, was fun. I enjoyed having mine (until stolen, whoever the jerk was). But there's really nothing on there that I would say I really want to play again.

Compared to their direct predecessors, the SNES was a huge leap. Compared to the overall, the SNES still stands as a strong foundation, IMO. Nothing can really change that, sorry.

Plus secondary triggers that kicked off with the PlayStation, analog triggers which were first used in the Dreamcast and PlayStation 2, analog sticks introduced with the N64 and so on and so forth - the design of each generation's controllers is the composition of all that was good in previously released controllers + something new, it's not a homage to the SNES in particular, it's evolution. The good features remain, the bad ones become deprecated.

Metroid Prime: Hunters is a prime example that they can be quite appealing. See what I did there? :P

Other than that, I suppose you make a good argument.

Very true. I could get nit-picky, but, eh, then it's just pulling hairs.

Hahah! I... actually haven't played that game... crap....

Other than that, I suppose you make a good argument.
I try. But, hey, your arguments are valid. Really, this just comes down to personal bias I guess.
I vote for the PS2.
That's nice.

DS. Game library, portability, PORT-ability, innovative gameplay from the beginning with the touchscreen (and flashcarts). Compared to the SNES, the DS is and has been more than the SNES. Don't get me wrong, the SNES was great, but not as great.

I'd preferred to vote for the PS2 for the many of the reasons as the DS, but one can't always win.. Great consoles both
