Hello.

I'm not sure if this is a stupid question, but I haven't got an answer for it.

I've ordered my son a Nintendo DSi XL which is coming sometime this week. I've never seen one of these and I'm told they haven't got a cartridge slot. I've been reading up on the DSTWO, but why would I need the cartridge if there is no slot? Couldn't I just download the DSTWO firmware, slap it on a memory stick then bobs your uncle? Or am I mistaken somewhere.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Matt.

The DSi hasn't a slot 2 like the DSLite has to play GBA games.

The DSTWO is a good choice of card.

I'm sorry? What do you mean by "It doesn't have a cartridge slot"? The DSiXL has a slot-1 for NDS games of course, and the DSTWO has a MicroSD slot to put games and homebrew on. There are no softmods for any DS system, so you can't just put stuff on a memory stick and have it work. You would put the DSTwo firmware on the DSTwo, make sure it works on your DSiXL, and then put Homebrew/ROMs on the MicroSD card and put it in the DSTwo.

Pretty much answers my question. I was told it only had an SD slot. But thats cleared that one up.
Thanks a lot!
