Apparently the code at the beginning is different. This means that I'll have to update CheckRegion (and any apps that use it) to work. I already know that the US ones use "KU" instead of "LU", but I'd like confirmation on what other regions are. Here is what I know now:
  • USA - Confirmed by LiNkZoR (KU)
  • Europe 1 - Confirmed by JohnyNyga (KEH)
  • Europe 2 - Unconfirmed (suspected KEM)
  • Europe 3 - Confirmed by sureiya (KEF)
  • Korea - Unconfirmed (suspected KLM)
  • Australia - Confirmed by Drexyl (KAM)
If you tell me what one of the unknown regions is, your name will be added to the credits.

I've gotten all of them as far as I know, and the update has its own thread.

Joostin, I found something:

There's KEM, LEM, LR, and LEF.

EDIT:
KEM=Italy, EUR PAL
LEM=Italy, EUR PAL
LR=Argentina, USA NTSC-U
and LEF=Spain, EUR PAL

I was really happy when Anon posted those serial codes from wiidrives.com, but now I can't really count them as reliable since there is all kinds of fake ones on there. Some are just random letters (no numbers).
Awww...whatever, I'm just here to help (It's in my signature people!)

P.S. Why is your old profile pic back?

The Foez pic was never meant to be permanent, I just wanted to see how people would react.

Oh.

You could have just poked around Nintendo's website rather than wasting some poor employee's time.
Thanks for the link.
I actually did check it before I started this thread, but it had old pictures, so it's either been updated or I used an old link. I didn't navigate directly through the site, I used google and pulled up a page.

I'm not too worried about the "poor employee" since he was just standing there, and it took a maximum of 30 seconds. ;)

Thanks to a the help of a (rather confused) Target employee, I confirmed for myself that the new USA Wii's use KU instead of LU.

Nobody has checked the other regions for me, so please do so next time you go to an electronics store.

lmao I used to work at target ^_^

oh trust me, after working there for a while, something out of the ordinary like some weirdo coming in asking about a serial number is actually a good thing
