Grand Theft Auto V has garnered a fair amount of hype despite the fact that (besides the glimpse the trailer provided) we don't know anything about it.

Until now, that is (potentially).

A man claiming to be an ex-Rockstar employee has leaked a surprisingly comprehensive list of information on the upcoming game. Here's just a sample...

1. The protagonist will be one character, and one character alone. His name is (as some rumours said) Albert De Silva. He's a half hispanic man who was once part of a crime family in Vice City...

2. Multiplayer will hold 32 people on the Xbox and PS3...
Just like in RDR, players will be able to form Gangs.

3.
The game is due in May 2013. A more specific date has not been decided because the game is still needing 6 months to be fully developed. They will have a playable demo at E3.

That's just a small portion of the "leaked" information; for the rest (including a breakdown of how the Wanted system will work), follow the article above.

Like I said, this is a pretty comprehensive and detailed list. At the same time, there's still a pretty major chance that this could be fake, so take this with a grain (or silo) of salt.

Of course, this leaves one major question unanswered: can we go bowling, cuzzin?

I wonder if there'll be stuff to do, or if I still have to date my cousin for entertainment like GTAIV.

Saints Row has been curb stomping GTA since its creation, it'll be interesting to see if GTA finally surpasses it, now that they should know exactly what it was missing.

GTA the new Final Fantasy?

In all seriousness, I thought GTA was already at V. Shouldn't VI be coming out? They make so many GTAs I cannot keep track anymore.

Spinoff games don't count
GTA 1, 2, 3, 4 are the only main games.

GTA San Andreas And Vice city are part of the 3 series.

In all fairness VC and SA were a huge improvement in gameplay from GTA3. While not numbered, I'd honestly call them part of the series and not spin-off titles. It's not like Crystal Chronicles, were the gameplay is changed from the "original type".

Rockstar didn't bother with "Complete collections" either, but look at what we've been receiving for quite a few of their latest games. Since it's a rumor, the whole thing could be true, parts of it could be true or the whole thing could be bull. Never know until it's confirmed to be either or.

QFT, I hate not being able to mess around in the city, blowing random things up and using jetpacks :P

And yet if this is true, Rockstar wouldn't be bothered to put it on the Wii U despite it's hardware advantages? I call fake until we get some reliable sources.

None of the main GTA games (excluding handheld spin-offs) have been released on Nintendo platforms, so this isn't exactly breaking precedent. Plus, they could be waiting for the system specs to be completely finalized and/or for the system to be proven as financially viable before committing resources to porting the game.

Plus we all remember how well Chinatown Wars did. Grand Theft Auto games just have a really poor history with Nintendo. There's no reason to start releasing them now when they've done more than exceptional on the other consoles.

93 on metacritic.

The critical reception wasn't the problem; it was the sales. You know, the amount of people actually going out and purchasing the game.
