Hacking M3 Lite Perfect and Goomba Color problems

Can someone explain in detail how to get Game Boy (Color) games saving on M3 Lite Perfect using Goomba Color in GBA mode? I've tried a few things that are mentioned in different topics on the forum, but I'm not able to save progress I make in a game. Every time I restart my NDSL I have to redo everything.

Also I've read somewhere that you need to make compilations of the games you want to play. How does this work? Thanks in advance for any help!
