About no disc:
Crediar said that it won't be done by him. And i don't care that much about it, stopping the motor is more than enough for me.
I hope thats not definite :(
I sent a donation the other week and requested 'No Disk' support, since I have a Wii with a broken disk drive which cant run DML at present.
Surely i'm not the only person with this issue?

Then you should have requested broken drive support. No disk support just lands on the ignore list, because it sounds like a lazy pirate.

I just requested it because it was mentioned as a possible future improvement in the first post, and it says that you can request it with a donation:-
Some clarification on how this all got to where we are ATM said:
There are still some things that are planned to be improved upon:
-No-Disc
-NMM support
-Two disc support
-Fix non-working games
If you would like to see a bug fixed, it'd be a great idea to append a note of said bug to any donations made, as this is more likely to be prioritized.

I'm not a 'lazy pirate' - I actually have two Wii's. After my first Wii's disk drive broke I bought another one which I use to rip my original games with (I just like to have the convenience of having all my games in one place with the original disks safely stored away) I still have both Wii's in use in different rooms, so was hoping I would be able to use DML on the one with the broken drive some day.

Please dont misunderstand - I would still have donated even if there were no future updates as I think crediar has done a fantastic job with DML. Its just if I had known there was zero chance of 'No Disk' support I would have requested something else that would be an actual possibility.

+1 for broken drive support, maybe a re-phrase for the first post is in order ;)

I don't recall him ever saying this, but it's true that we have been finding it to be one of the tougher features. It needs a lot of work to perfect and I think there's only been the one request for it too, so it's going to sit on the back burner. no-drive is a maybe, but it looks like we have to fix up SNEEK first.

Dropping no-disc support because it sounds like a "lazy pirate" is rubbish. You can use ANY disc for all gc games out there.
I think the real reason is due to it being complex and time consuming.

If you absolutely want no-disc support you can as well try Swiss out, although you need an SD gecko and can't use it with USB loaders and covers.

Out of curiosity, would making it work without a disc and making it work with a broken disc drive be any different?

The disc change support for 2 disc games might come in handy for this one, as it includes patching the check for cover stuff. But i'm not sure if it would be complete then, although i think it could be.

Most likely not.

hello,
want only to say thank you to all DML team an ask for i thing.

Start programming a little tool to manage my DML SD card:
- show installed games
- show fullname/compatility/issue/etc
- drag & drop delete/copy/move games from/to PC/SD
- parse DML.log to share over internet info about compatibility and SD info
- help user to choose right SD format
- etc

In next days i want to make a donation and if possible, commit a request related to DiscEX.

when 'convert' iso to DML standard is possible to exctract banner and put as .jpg into Dir game?

Know that program is born to do all but this, but Want to know if is possible or not, if not
maybe someone can point me in right direction to do this. (already post request in past days on forum)

thank you for any info, and thank you again for DML,
m.

use the NMM build, and just save in the game! it doesnt work with all games, but I can confirm Final Fantasy Chrystal Chronicles working with it myself.

Never have to take my memory cards with me to my friends house to play gamecube again! WOO!

(off-topic: I seem to be quite talented on making posts appear on the next page >.>)

+1 ...i like to have a hint how he did it...so i can update my own google code page..

Source of wiki page:
Code:
#labels Featured

= Recent Commits to trunk =

= Updates to All Issues (including closed/fixed issues) =

= Detailed Updates to Open Issues =
And link to the XML files mentioned in source:

http://sorryrobot.co...hostingupdates/

Plenty of hints I think.

EDIT: In fact, don't think the XML files are important. Just copy the wiki page and change the project name in each of the three cases.

Well I'm still trying to convert save files from GC-MC to NMM,
Thanks to SuperrSonic who gave me this link: http://wiibrew.org/w...acoTaco-Edition I could dump my GC-MC into a .RAW file
Dolphin can open this file and saves can be exported as *.gci *.gcs & *.sav all of which have same size and is much lager than *.bin files used with NMM.

So now we have 3 different formats for saves, perhaps someone have an idea how to convert them into NMM bin files.
Thanks
Your wish has come true:
