Hey guys, I just got SSX Blur but when I start playing the upper body of the character I'm using is glitched and makes it weird to play. I can run the new Zelda perfectly fine so I have no idea what could be causing this. Perhaps someone here does? Thanks in advance :)

Nvm it works now after restarting, a little too eager on my part there :P

I'm new(b) to DML so, quick question-
When updating, do I just download-->create the new wad-->load it onto the wii
or do i need to remove the previous DML first???
-thanks

HI Guys

I have a wii with HB channel and neogamma R9 b56 IOS249 loaded up.

I put my first DL game in there and it came up with this message after lauching the DVD.

reset drive, err(00053000), DISC ID, DVD-R + no cIOS!

I guess I am missing something and looking at the site modm!! (I think is mentioned alot).

I am unsure if I am missing something and dont want to load many fixes but they all might not do anything.

Can anyone clear up what else I need to load to get a backup game to work?

cheers in advance

First time I am using a disc for the wii, did not know that +r worked or not. Could not tell anyway as it was a plain disc and given to me.

Picking up some -rs tomorrow, so hopefully have some better luck.

Will report it here unless there is another error that's causing the problem.

Helpppp...

Still did not work with the dvd-r's, just wasted 3.50 on 10 disc to see if it works!

reset drive,

Something is wrong, either I am missing software or the game I DL was a dud.

I am using imgburn on slowest setting.

Is there anything else I need to get games to work?

some help please

forget disks

get a hdd
and you only have to handle a disk to add a newly bought game
it loads faster too

I have a old 320gb HDD but its power via mains. WD if remember correctly - can that be used?
also what software would I need to load the iso files (that how they are dl)

best way to find out is simply trying

you need a usb loader and a recent cios (eg cfg loader and d2x)
try modmii for a one stop shop

basically:
attatch the hdd to the bottom port, start the loader, insert a game and rip it to hdd
320GB should hold about 100 games

modmii gives you a more complete guide too

Thanks for the info - will try to set that up, but first need to move around a few files on the HDD.

Also look into this cfg loader - I wonder if the cios is out of date or something like that, hence discs not working.

So all I need to do to burn an iso to a DVD-R disc, right?

I did that on NeoGamma, and it says it isn't a Wii/GC disc. Not sure what's going on.

Not all wii's can play backup discs, newer model's (after about mid 09) can't

and even if you're wii was capable of playing backup discs, we don't even know anything about what you did to your wii other than trying to run neogamma on it

talk about your error report fail, ;)

It's not a newer model (it's from 2007 or so), since I was able to install BootMii as boot2. And the error was (Not a Wii/GC disc).

I previously had the error 00053000 with DVD-R + no cIOS, in which I had to install d2x v6 with base IOS56 as cIOS using this:

http://www.wiihacks.com/other-faq-guides-tutorials/88654-d2x-cios-installation-guide.html

Burned the iso using the native burning software on my Macbook Pro, which leads me to this.

is they a specific format your hdd should be so it is readable by a backup loader?

depends on the loader
fat32 and ntfs are the most supported ones
ext2,3,4(readonly) and wbfs(deprecated) are around too

I suggest either fat32 for compability with hbc and emulators and the like
or simply keeping what you have right now (less hassle)

I had the same errors and went to the link and loaded the d2x and after a few tweaks and swear words I got it to load and work.

Tried NFS on the run I think and works now

thanks
