well from the clues it sounds like a hack/exploit saying that it revolutionize the non existent scene, so to me that meas it will actually create a REAL 3ds scene and to do that we will need at least a a hello world or way to run code in 3ds mode
i just hope its more than a proof of concept and that it is not deliberately locked down to prevent roms

I guess I can use my reputation to say that it's NOT fake and it's NOT a hack so you can change the title of the thread and calm down..
It's still in the works and it has nothing to do with hacking the device's hardware or software it's just a future 3ds homebrew project ...
research about it at 3dbrew...

If it lets us use custom banners, I will enjoy it.

i haven't seen any news on 3dsbrew for the last couple of days
i don't think this is going to lead to any back-up playability, nor homebrew, but some utility that has more value than just showing information

I am quite surprised a moderator hasn't posted here stating s/he is watching this topic. I think I'll alert them, just in case.

Anyways, I hope this isn't a full-blown hack yet...It just feels wrong to invade something less than a year old...

i hope thise isnt a full fledged hack that would allow everyone to play 3ds roms, such a thing would be disastrous,
i really want it to be a way to bypass region locking though, just so that i can import mh3g without a jap 3d no scratch that, i dont want any sort of a hack atleast until next year

agreed. as much as I'll be happy to see 3ds mode hacked for the sake of stronger home brew and emulators, I'll feel sorry for Nintendo for the inevitable piracy that will occur.

Guys, since the word "Crown3DS" seems to make everyone crazy, I don't want to see ANY Crown3DS talk into this thread.
Otherwise I'll start warning people and trashing posts.

This thread is about CiTRus and CiTRus only.

Thanks.

This. I would make a 3D model of Mario and use it on my copy of Super Mario Bros. NES.

Is nobody reading this post? IMO it's probably just a guy who is getting excited over his own project. Don't get me wrong though, some sort of hack or exploit would be awesome.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
Nor clothes 🤮 . Saves on time, soap, water and money having to wash them. :D
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
