I have Boot ios and Priiloader and im wondering is its possible to fully restore your wii with it.

Its is possible to backup wii i did it with boot IOS

Steps to restore wii

1: Go to bootmii from priloader or homebrew channel

2: Go to the settings icon. (you must have a Gamecube controller)

3: Go to the second icon

4: Press A on the GC controller and do the following when it says are you sure you want to do this konami

5: Do the following konami code on the thumb pad. Not the Circle thingy

Up Up Down Down Left right left right and B A

Dont do it fast and press the the buttons light enough to acutally press it down.

If try again Hishimoto pops up do it again but slower. and press softer

restoring your own backup NAND.bin using bootmii is safe.

Having BootMii as Boot2 is much safer, it's like you can act dumb that "oh noes my power broke up and i bricked my Wii". Since having BootMii as Boot2 is much 99% tolerable on possible soft bricks.

Second BootMii as IOS. It's safe, as long as

1. The backup NAND is not corrupted
2. Your SD card is not bad/broken/corrupted.
3. Dont loose power while restoring your NAND.

If you cant do all of those 3, then you're SOL.

And if any of those things go wrong, then you have a full brick. There is no reason to risk it when there are better ways to fix your Wii.

If its fully bricked - no, to both your questions.
Both bootmii and priiloader can be overwritten/removed if you mess with ios you shouldnt (like using anytitledeleter without knowing wtf youre doing).

Let me break this down real simple:

If you are in a situation were you need to restore a NAND dump, you will not be able to access BootMii/IOS (which is not called Boot IOS by the way).
If you can access BootMii/IOS, that means that there is another way to fix your Wii, and you should use that other way.

Moral of the story: You should never restore a NAND dump with BootMii/IOS.

It is possible, but only if you can access BootMii/IOS, which you won't be able to do in the worst bricks. In minor bricks, you can access BootMii/IOS, and could technically restore a NAND dump, but it is NOT safe and there IS a better way to fix any brick where you can still access BootMii/IOS

is it possible to unpatch boot1 so newer wii's can use boot2?

Becuase newer wii's cannot use boot2 thanks to nintendo patching boot1.

um boot1 goes deeper into the wiis internal parts: something we havn't done yet
No one will ever change boot1. It's hash is checked against a hash in One Time Programmable memory (i.e. memory that can't be changed). If the hashes don't match, the Wii will not start. It'd be near impossible to create a custom boot1 that had the exact same hash. There is no "yet" involved.
