I agree with @elisherer. Also, I remember something about not inserting or removing game cards before turning the power off. I've never actually turned the power off when doing so, though, and I've never had any problems...

All in all, do you guys enjoy your 3DS? I'm itching to get one... Vita is still a long way for me (in term of being able to afford the system) right now I've sufficient for a 3DS system, are there decent RPGs to purchase?

Orange is for when a friend comes online on wifi

White... maybe coz the system was hanging, it wasnt registering any of the colours because the system wasnt "working" but the light was on because the system was on and it wll just be a normal led light, also the light for the camara is a white light just covered with a pink lens, so maybe it was that light you saw somehow coming through the notification part? Who knows!

It means that the 3DS has problems while starting that time. I've had it once while I watered my 3DS.(I was so sad, I meant water cam in my 3DS)

And thus ends the bricking rumor once again.
I'm surprised they didn't list out all of the colours the LED could become deoending on the situation.

Because ATM they have no plans for using those colors. Besides the obvious uses, of course.

I belieive Nintendo didn't mix the colors so you wouldn't be confused:

Purple is used for the led next to the 3d lens (to tell people they are being filmed or photographed)
Yellow is used for network activity
I think red appears both on the power led and on the notification led...

But the led next to the 3D lens is pink/red

Yeah, maybe it had something to do with being interrupted in the process of reading the card data upon startup?

(after I knock the fucking thing off of the desk...) it still works though. Charges, get streetpass notifications, can still play my DSTWO (zomg nintend00rz didn't block mah h4xxs yet? wut?!).

Let's see if I can reproduce the light.

I assume it's when you got both Streetpass and Spotpass notifications.

No, I think the light changes color repeatedly if that happens.

I've had it be turquoise every single day I would get Streetpass + Spotpass notifications on.

Yep, totally no bricking comments.

on 3dsfroums they said that a white notification means bricking and reggie will knock on your door in 5 minutes.
but in the same thread they thought that updating it when you used a flashcart will brick it.

I'm using DSTwo, i hope it's not a nintendo check of 3DS that are using DSTwo, i don't want to lose my embassor privileges.

I haven't used my flashcart in ages, but I don't think Nintendo could brick you over a single flashcart...
