@[member='Fix']; Do you think Wiiflow will ever support wiimote motion control as seen in Configurable USB Loader? I think that would be so very excellent!
Soo what exactly do you mean @[member='painless']? Wiiflow has wiimote gestures...but this option is disabled in the wiiflow.ini by default.
In Configurable USB Loader, you simply waive your Wiimote from side to side and the cover art "flows" by until you are ready to select what you want to play. It's very "Matrix-y" with a touch of "Minority Report" kind of tech. Wiiflow looks like one must use the D-Pad in order to scroll around.
Ah, in config it's waving, the wiimote gesture i was talking about is turning the wiimote, like a key, but has the same flow effect..
Wow! I can't seem to find the actual name of that setting anywhere. Do you know what page it is on? I'm looking through all six pages of the configuration within Wiiflow and don't see any section labeled anything like "Wiimote settings" or "Controller setings". All I see are things like "Exit To" and "Adjust Coverflow". It's a little frustrating actually.

Oops, you just missed my edit of my last post...i explained it a bit better...

If you like, you can try it out and change this line in wiiflow.ini (located in USB or SD:/Apps/Wiiflow/):

wiimote_gestures=(add true)

From the wiki: When enabled, coverflow can be scrolled by tilting the wiimote while holding B - Defaults to false
Literally change "wiimote_gestures=no" to "wiimote_gestures=(add true)"? Or should it read "wiimote_gestures=yes"? Obviously without he quotation marks.
EDIT: Ok, tried changing "no" to "(add true)", "true" and "yes" and still it's not working when I either twist the Wiimote with the "B" button depressed and/or when just twisting the Wiimote. This would be a really nice feature to add to the gui options list within Wiiflow so one doesn't have to edit the .ini.

It should be "true" according to the documentation, but if it said "no" at first then prolly it should be "yes".
I hope FIX or OverjoY can look at it, as far as i know, nothing has changed in this code so i don't know why it does not work anymore.

That's what I thought too but none of those work :( It's ok because I can just use the dpad to move about, but............ having the wiimote action scroll by waiving my hand is about 100X cooler.

Hi Fix/xFede, with the new alternative cover feature in general settings a/o r97, I think having the option in game settings would be neat. That way I can choose if I want the alternative cover for the particular game I pick. Likewise, if there's no alternative cover for the game I chose it would just download the original.

I made a post a looong while back but never heard anything. Fix, I know yer keeping an eye on this thread now.. Is there a way to display full covers for homebrew apps with less than 5 characters in the name? I have covers for UAE and a few others with short names that I can't get to display in the homebrew section of wiiflow. I figured out if it's 5 characters, I can throw an underscore after it (ex - vbagx_) and that works, but i can't figure out how to get one to display (or if it's possible) for anything like uae, or dmp, etc.. and I would prefer not to rename my apps folders. I'm guessing it would be possible to actually replace the "icon.png" of the app now that the new rev recognizes those.. but If I could continue to put them in my "boxcovers" folder, i'd way prefer that.

Any help would be appreciated man! :)

You just gave me an idea for a easier new Wiiflow feature: It would be neat if Wiiflow would also recognize a file named "cover.png" or "boxcover.png" if we placed it right next to the "icon.png", "boot.dol" and "meta.xml" in the program's folder and just give priority to the latter if present. It would be a lot easier than us having to figure out what to name each one. I do admit, though, having it use the "icon.png" is nicer than having just a bunch of grey question marks, definitely. Also, fitting the "icon.png" into the top half of the cover without having to stretch it and leaving the rest of it white would be another step up or even putting the app name on a black background in that space but maybe I'm getting carried away there.

I second that vote. I always wondered how that worked when I saw it in wiiflow.ini but I never got around to trying it out.

Yeh, good thing you didn't, it's not working anyway.... at least for me. :(

Thank you for the PM r97 tested and turned out to be slower in syncing (I have to wait sometimes 3 times for the wiimote to blink) still losing sync(wiimote blue light ok but can't press any button except power) in mercury meltdown 50% of the time
Any news about newly installed games detection issues?

Everyone with the sync issue try the new forwarder:

FIX94 big thanks for this :yay: terrible wiimote sync has disappeared
+1 Excellent job mate - this does appear to have fixed the sync problem after I turned NAND on. Thanks again & great work!
FYI using r418 and had to do a fresh install after updating forwarder due to some other issues which arose. All good after that.

EDIT: Except for one thing...which was on the list way back...something got broken sometime around r413-r417a4 where if Wiiflow was started with the uDraw tablet, it got a DSI error. If you have any ideas on that I'd be very pleased.
Thanks for all you are doing on this great loader.

We just made nice progress and fixed we dare and driver san francisco! Tintin works better now but still not perfect. May we get it to work properly the next days/weeks ;)

Thanks for reviving Wiiflow. Great to see all the new improvements.

With r95, Driver: San Francisco no longer hangs after mission completion. However, it still hangs during certain aspects of gameplay, like when you enter into one of the green areas.

I am using Swiss via SD Gecko for about a year.I wonder if Wiiflow can support it.Are there any plans for it yet?

I had it tested by a fellow wiiflow tester... the wiimote gesture still worked for him...
His setting in the wiiflow.ini is: wiimote_gesture=yes.
He tested it on wiiflow mod rev 99 and on wiiflow rev 418...

Just to be clear, do you twist the wiimote while Pressing the B button?
Or do you wave the wiimote, because that does not work, only twisting.

I have a Swiss wii app in the homebrew channel that loads the gamecube homebrew swiss.dol from the SD gecko. That should show up in the homebrew part of WiiFlow. DML can load gamecube homebrew like wiigator's cMIOS so it should work althought I haven't tried it from wiiflow before. I do use both swiss and DML because I don't have that big of an SD card so having some games in the front SD and some in the gecko helps me spread things out. DML uses some of Swiss's code, actually. It also will work with cards bigger than 2gb (I wish I had one bigger than that myself but it's on my list of things to get when I get the money).

Edit: Actually, now that you mentioned it I got Googling stuff and I think I'm using an old version of Swiss, I gotta update!

Does neogamma support it? :P If yes I can take a look at it. If not, then it prolly wont happen because of gamecube mode swiss.
