Hacking Official CIOS or Dx2?

Hey i was just wondering what Cios Rev are we currently? And what is the difference with the DX2 release? What would be advised to choose nowdays;0

But "cIOS x rev21 d2x v.." is a little long, so it's usually shortened to just : "d2x v.."

D2x v7
D2x v8 beta1 etc.

The d2x cIOSes are the newer versions, released after the last Waninkoko's cIOS.
You should use the latest stable release of the d2x for better compatibility with hardware and games.

you know, i was wondering, since the whole take your own base ios for the cios files, which is the best base for which ios and with which cios?

cause i can't follow it that much anymore... (i'm still on cios x rev21 from waninkoko...)

The recommended cIOS are available on ModMii, just download and install them on your Wii console using Multi-Mod Manager.

Simples...

Hi i installed this However I have problems playing Mario kart, what I did was install cios v7-final dx2? With 249 with base of ios 56. All my games work except Mario kart what am i doign wrong?

You will probably have to be more specific. What type of problems have you been having?

My game doesnt start with Usb Loader GX, neither wants PES 2012, which i just tried.

Anyway Also, My old games still work... so i dont know whats wrong.

If you're using the older version of USBLoaderGX, then you can try to update it.

Are You 200% sure that Your Mario Kart game image is proper?

Unless I am reading the syscheck wrong, you don't have the latest version of d2x in your slot 249 (but I still don't see why that shouldn't be able to run Mario Kart)

Just to be safe, try using modmii (if you don't already have it get it in the stickies) and then follow these steps:

Start ModMii Skin -> choose ModMii Wizard +Guide -> Select 'No' -> Choose your current system menu version -> Choose your current region -> Again, choose your current system menu version -> Dont check anything, just hit next -> Now check 'Recommended cIOSs' -> Choose your SD card -> Hit finish

Now wait for it to download the WADs on to your SD card, and then install those on your Wii using MultiModManager.

Once those are installed then you should have all the most up to date, recommended cIOSs, and if Mario Kart still doesn't run, then you probably have a bad rip.

If all other games are working, and multiple USBloaders has the same error I guess it's the ISO which is corrupted.
Try dumping/replacing it again.

You can even verify the iso integrity with WiiBackupManager > Drive x > tools > Sha-1 check.
