Hacking Need a guide to modding an Xbox 360

Before you being asking me any questions I want to say I know nothing about the Xbox at all let alone have ever touched one before. The majority of my homebrewing knowledge is with Nintendo systems like the Wii and DS.

The modding I am doing is for a friend's xbox 360 so what can you recommend for me to do?

Yeah it's possible. Just not as easy.

Yes it's possible.

Been playing for well over 2 years on XBLive with a modded drive.

If you want to mod a drive then you'll have to disassemble your friends 360 so I suggest looking that up.
Then download Jungleflasher v0.1.92 from the jungleflasher website.
It comes with a manual that will lead you trough the entire process.

I also suggest your friend on getting a Liteon iHAS DVD burner to burn the new XGD3 games with (requires a hacked firmware)
XGD3 games are just like normal games but they have 1 GB of extra space on the ISO.

Furthermore patch ALL games with ABGX 1.0.6.
This will ensure you to be safe on XBLive.

Just curious, is it possible to play offline using my account to get achievements and play backups then go back to my 360 with live using the same account so everyone can see my achievements ?

Yes.

I've been playing ON XBLive with backupped games for years and got achievements online on backupped games.

Never gotten a reset or got banned.

It's just a matter of stealth patching your games correctly, with a small hint of luck (with the outdated dae.bin update + Title update anti piracy)
