Homebrew Minicraft DS?

Minicraft, a game made by Notch within a two-day period, looks like it would be a perfect little game for the NDS. Some of the screen elements could be moved to the bottom screen, sure, and then some bugs could be ironed out, but I think it could be done. It's probably made easier due to the source code being made public, as well.

I'm not sure how one would go around to making it happen. I don't know anything about DS game coding.

Who wants to try to make it? I'll even provide helpful links!

Not for the GBC or DS. Just for the Android. And it's not a great port if you have to use the virtual controls.
