This program can be used for Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Heart Gold, Soul Silver, Black, and White for the following tasks:
- Generating Action Replay codes to create Pokemon or modify the Pokedex, including exporting to an XML file that can be dragged to the Action Replay code manager
- Loading and saving of save files. Pokemon data and Pokedex data can be fully modified.
- Loading and saving of party and PC .pkm files (136, 220, and 236 byte, encrypted and unencrypted)
- Conversion of Action Replay codes into Pokemon information (This is limited.)
- Finding a PID to match IVs, nature, gender, ability, shininess, and hidden power type/power - with variable IVs
- Recalculating a save file checksum (by simply loading it with the ignore checksum option checked, then saving)

i believe false positive also
my Norton 360 5.0 said it was clean after scans
and works a treat on the fixes

How could they fix HG/SS without fixing B/W at the same time?

Norton 2012 did NOT detect ws.reputaion.1 in the final R4i SaveDongle V1.2.exe, I would recommend to avoid the beta and only use the final.

Why are you even doing this? Did the team told you to do so or you just do it on your own? By the way, V1.3 is released, couple of fixes and the ability to encrypt/decrypt 3DS game save (:

I received the mine just like 1 day ago, and my antivirus don't report any kind of virus (nod). I make some test on the device (theres so many post about this that for me is important to keep just one good topic, where the people can find the info, and not a lot of topics with more hard to find it)...well this is my review:

This allow to perform a backup of some games and let another people to use the cartridge without interfere with my own save.

The step need it to do a backup or restore a backup are really easy, is just like press this button for the first thing or press this other button for the other thing. Is really easy and without complication.

In the package theres no any kind on instruction, everything is on the page, theres no need for extra info, all the necessary programs an information are easily find on the web page.

The option to perform an firmware upgrade allow the user to always stay at day with some games that not allow at the moment the option to do the backup or restore.

The size is perfect for the need of the device, a little bulky, but thats necessary to allow the card and the board system.

I give a 9 of 10 because the device is not completely functional, but I know that with the proper firmware update the devices can accept all the games and the possible modification of the saves.

Because one of the main uses for SaveDongle would probably be to Pokesav legit games.

i cannot test the
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon

games as i do not have them
other ones appear to dump edit and load up again fine

i think people having issues with pokesav tho as it can cause bugs that have occured during translation such as box names

I'm surprised the R4i SDHC team got problem 3DS game saves working before other tools like SMS4 or NDS Adapter+ (eg Super Mario 3D Land) of course the problem 3DS game saves can't be decrypted yet though...

Kudos to the R4i SDHC team for that.

Nice to see they're actively improving the product. They must have added in the automatic decryption when they saw my review The main application still hangs when I leave it idle for a few minutes, though. I probably should email the team about that...

Their app floods the device with status requests...to check the firmware and the rom's header...
I also noticed that sometimes it downloads the save file by itself for no apparent reason...maybe to get the save's size...

Has anyone had issues with the 1.3b program release today? I am trying to do my review and it won't read the card. =\ I've updated the save dongle, and checked over the tutorial, but I can't get the app to read the DS card.

Edit: NVM. I got it. I can't use a USB extension it seems.

1.3B only fixes a error where save would fail if you had a space in the name of the sav
e.g Pokemon Black.sav would fail but naming PokemonBlack.sav would be fine
