Hi, I am wondering: A lot of guides talk about flashing a dvd drive back to stock firmware. Why is this?
Harder to reflash as in? What are the measures Microsoft has taken to make it harder to reflash?
Thanks! This is the answer I was looking for And JungleFlasher automaticly saves the device key, doesn't it?Harder to reflash as in? What are the measures Microsoft has taken to make it harder to reflash?
It makes it harder by moving the location of where the drive key is stored. Jungle flasher has been updated to find the new location, but if you have a Lite-on drive you'll need to use the probe again. This is all null and void tho if you have a back up of your key since the key is not changed when MS flsahes your drive to the new firmware. If your already banned and have a back up f your key there is no need to flash back to stock before you going straight to LT+2.0.
I just rigged it up and checked, and yea it saved it in KeyDB thank god, but it refuses to flash LT+2 or 1.9 because of outdated dash :|Well it prompts you to save it. Hopefully you did.
I just got this box a little while ago. Last time I updated it was when it was my fathers box He gave it to me because it RRoDing. You haven't updated in awhile then have you?
