In tri-Ace's 3DS dungeon RPG Beyond the Labyrinth, you'll get to create your very own costumes for the heroine character who serves as the face for the game. 4Gamer shared a few screenshots of the process today as part of an interview with director Takayuki Suguro and art director Kentaro Kagami
The costume creation tool was created from scratch, explained Kagami. Suguro joked that they knew players would want the ability to change the characters' costumes, but because creating costumes would be a lot of work for the designers, they decided to let the players create the costumes for themselves. As you can see in the screenshots, the scribbles that you make on the lower screen are reflected in real time on the girl's clothing in the top screen. You can also change other areas of the girl, including hair color. Your edits can be saved to SD in JPEG format. It looks like costume editing will be the only change you can bring to the girl. The game does not have any love components where the girl's behavior will change based off your actions.
