Those who used to play on computers in the 80's and early 90's might have a little sex wee when they see this!

Egg box + boxing glove + "back" = mother fucking Dizzy!

Dizzy was involved some of the most excellent platform puzzle games on early home computers (the ones that were by Sinclair, Amstrad & Commodore). He also had a pretty good game on the NES though it was nothing compared to the likes of Treasure Island Disland or Fantasy World Dizzy. Back then his games topped the all formats charts and kept kids like me entertained.

Codemasters have been living off racers and cricket games of late, I liked their Overlord series but it didn't do so well. Could this be them bringing their mascot back to the big time or will it just be another disposable iPhone game?

If it won't be a 2D side-scroller, it's gonna suck donkey balls. Please, Codemasters - don't you dare grape my nostalgia with a 3D platformer or I swear, I'll loose all repsect for you, and I have plenty.

2D art... is made of pixels...
He means pixel art, where you can actually distinguish the pixels.

Ah! I get it nao... and somewhat agree - it can't be ugly-huge-distinguishable pixels, but some would be nice, just to give the retro feel to enhance the nerdgasm. I mean, the only people aware of Dizzy's existance are... old. They'll enjoy it, at least I would. XD

Dizzy......I remember some outstanding sequels made for the Russian Sincalir clones, pretty good stuff, unfortunately unplayable due to the language.
I think I have 6 or 7 games for my Spectrum somewhere. Even though I liked the idea of a platform adventure, I never really got into those games, never bothered to finish one.
But if they manage to give it an update with a retro feel, then I'll gladly check it out.

Awesome news. I used to love playing Dizzy on the Commodore 64. Treasure Island Dizzy was one of my favourites, well it's the one i can remember right now.

I'm sure this will indulge the nostalgic side of me. :yay:
