According to Famitsu, Konami just announced that the 3DS port of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, the awesome PS2 classic released back in 2004, will be available for purchase in Japan as of March 8 of next year. Release dates for the North American and European versions haven't been announced yet but if we refer to the recent release of MGS HD Collection, we won't need to wait too long.

I heard that US is getting it Feb 28.

And this game looks horrible now. From an extremely anticipated title to a piece of sh*t.

I won't be getting this unless the game has its issues fixed (which I doubt)

played this at Eurogamer, it looked and played HORRIBLE
Guess I was wrong about my post. I'll look for the trailer and I'll see if I'm gonna buy this or not.

Guess the saying of "Don't judge a book by it's cover" can be applied here.

The title may seem pleasing but I recently looked at the trailer and I have to admit it looks kinda dumb. I dunno if they're gonna improve it or not..hope they improve it. But I like the Camouflage Photography System. I'd take a pic of a dalmatian and Snake would look like a dalmatian.

Even Europe is getting the HD Collection a month before this.

It also looks terrible. May as well pick up a Vita version of the HD Collection if I wanted MGS3 on the go.
The exact same thought as I have. It doesn`t look as good as the naked sample and also content-wise it is not a very good idea to release it for 3DS as it is, since those other consoles will all get better deals with three games including MGS3...

Although I do agree with you, must you bash the 3DS in EVERY 3DS related thread?
Many people have said that to him, it just doesn't stop.

Also, is this game worth it?

I was gonna say finally something to play! But like others have said I'm planning on getting a Vita and I have a 360 so the MGS HD collection is coming my way.
I think I'm going to sell my 3DS it's been a let down so far and the future line up looks ok but not great I think the Vita is light years ahead and it's not even out.

Ehh, with the MGS HD collection on the PS3/360, this isn't looking too good. The 'Naked Sample' looked good but it just went downhill from there. I suppose that if you aren't getting a Vita, the fact that it's portable might make it worth a purchase.

Just a thought...

The ones who actually played the game - why can't you leave a little more detailed review?
What was good and what was bad/disappointing – you know, like a grownup.

Because - letting the rest of the world now how cool you are by stating,
"I played it and it sucked" will only make you popular among other smegheads like yourselves.

But then again – that is probably the intention with such a pointless post anyway…

I'm not bashing the 3DS, this is common fucking sense. I even said the game went from a positive looking tech demo to a piece of shit in another thread. I'm guessing you hate Hater Goggles on since whenever anyone sees me comment apparently, they immediately think "WOW SO MUCH 3DS HATE".

Calm down kids.

Doesn't matter what you say you sounds like a Nintendo hater. You "criticize" pretty much every Nintendo thread with most being empty opinions lot over other companies. The fact you use that "reviewer" as your main source for opinions make it even harder to see that you aren't a hater.

You didn't even have to touch or look at Nintendo product to make it seem like it some kinda curse on the planet.

Seriously, statement such as" I have my head in one place and can't move with the 3ds' 3d and it gives me headaches blah blah" when haven't even use it, yet the majority of the people who had the 3ds for longest didn't have these problems and telling you it isn't hard to keep the 3ds' 3d stable. You just gives us the middle finger like you had the 3ds for your whole life.

Sounds just like hating to me or at least trolling and trying to cover up other wise.

Despite all that, I agree about the statement of this game. Not getting this. I'll just buy it for the ps3.

Um, you obviously don't know my opinion at all if this is your view. Stop drinking the Haterade.

I have touched Nintendo products and I have judged them not a curse on the planet. I've owned my share of Nintendo products and I've enjoyed them. Recently I think they're just going downhill.

And I've heard plenty of people say to the contrary. So I'm not wrong. The 3D is incredibly relative from person to person.

Sounds just like hating to me and trying to cover up other wise.

Sounds like you talking out of your ass.

Despite all that, I agree about the statement of this game. Not getting this. I'll just buy it for the ps3.

If we all agree with me, why am I being labeled as a "mindless hater"? When you say "I agree with you but WHY ARE YOU HATING ON THE 3DS CONSTANTLY" you're just a complete contradiction.

The Naked Sample was "wow this is what the 3DS needs".

The end result is "meh, probably better to grab the HD collection on 360/PS3/Vita and get Substance version and two other games".

Really Konami have just crapped this out. This was originally a tech demo, had some great response so Konami rushed released it. It really does not look as good as it did when it was a tech demo, Konami are just a shadow of their former self now.

Eh.

I mean, this looked cool before the HD collection was announced for the Vita; now that I can get this and (at least) one other game on a better running system... yeah, I'm going to go with that.

i think i heard of that, it's a good idea, shouldn't need a dedicated GPU just to run a LLM or video upscaling

even the nvidia shield tv has AI video upscaling

LLMs can be run on cpu anyway but it's quite slow

@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think nvidia wants to get in the x64 cpu market anyways
