Sort of. I don't really visit these forums as much anymore, seeing how the DS is kinda dead-ish with the 3DS out, so I've been mostly playing the PSP lately.

Never too late to express my appreciation for this awesome project, though.

In v1.2 the bug was corrected: now it says "They aren't breathing.", which is kind of acceptable.

Like OMG your translation is bad. X is supposed to be Y, while Y is supposed to read like X. You people don't know anything about translating. I should've been the translator. Like, three years ago. Like, I know Japanese real good. Gooder than you guys. I use a translator to make sure it's right then I fix it if the english is wrong. I can understand your desire to stay true to the original Japanese as well as your wanting to avoid backlash from idiots who would criticize the liberties taken with the translation.

The way I see it, the vast majority of people playing the patch wouldn't be able to play the game in Japanese, so they would never even know the difference anyway. Those relatively few who are fluent enough to play both the Japanese and English version, likely wouldn't play through both versions just to nit-pick at all the translations. You would almost certainly see fewer reports of "the Japanese says 'breathing' but you put 'pulse' instead" than reports of "it says 'he/she' when it should be 'he/she' ".

But I'm not criticizing the way you guys chose to translate it at all. On the contrary, my point is simply that if someone does give you crap about the liberties taken with the translations, they can GTFO and I'd be right here to show them the door.

I'm not sure about that. A lot of people check for a pulse first to be on the safe side. However, Densetsu is the one in medical school, so he would know that better than I would.

Besides, I think putting "pulse" is perfectly fine. It basically means the same thing anyway. Anyone willing to nitpick on something so small should get over themselves. Something so small is not a big deal.
