I don't know if the game will be as in the video, but it's the first NFS game I'm interested.
It's not anymore a free city drive to look for challengers, but a long distance race game?

Will the running sequence are free to play or only cut-scenes?

I will answer your question with another video from E3 which shows 8 minutes of gameplay.

I always thought the NFS games should of had some sort of story that you could actually care about. I think the problem was you were always in a car and even when you weren't in car you weren't actually seen and thus it was like you didn't even really.. matter? I guess? and it made the racing get kind of dull later on because I mean well whats the point? Hopefully they've improved upon that and perhaps added the ability to get out of your car. I mean lets face facts being in a car 24/7 kind of sucks the gameplay away.

Think of it as how Tony Hawks Underground was to the original Tony Hawk series. Sure to some fans they might not approve of the game but imo it added a lot to the typical skating gameplay that hopefully NFS: The Run can do to the NFS series.

The trailer looked great by the way.

Downloaded the demo for this game, and i have to admit

I was THE worst racing game i´ve EVER played.

I'm actually sad to hear that :(

What? It was me or the guy suspiciously looked like Shia La Beouf and the girl suspiciously looked like Megan Fox?

By the way, looks REALLY nice. I'll get it. It'll be the first NFS I play in a looong time (Underground?).

It's not really realist.
Does helicopter really shoot cars when there's civilians in towns in USA?
And the car seems to be bullet-proof, all police cars are like that?

About the game itself, I think it would be better if there were multiple targets/checkpoints to reach instead of following a pre-determined path in the town, there's a lot of turns for nothing when you could drive all straight.
It looks like they removed the freedom found it the previous versions where you could drive anywhere in the towns.

It looks really great. I never really liked playing NFS since from the hot pursuit for the ps1. I prefer midnight club. Anyways as Cyan said its shouldn't be a per-determined path by rather have the liberty to choose the your path.

If that trailer is any indication, it could also be called Need for Speed: The Fast and the Furious.

I still think the PC version of Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit is the gold standard not only for the series, but for racing games in general. The graphics have held up much better today than most other games of the time, the driving mechanics were near perfect, the cops were more fun and less tedious to play than in any other game in the series (although with two player-controlled police the game became laughably easy), the cars were well-balanced with their own difficulty curves (such as the El Niño, which was useless if you didn't master it, but incredibly good if you did)... All in all it was possibly the best arcade-style racing game of all time. I've got high hopes for The Run, but I doubt it'll surpass NFS3.

totally unrealistic but sould be fun arcade recing game. I'm preferring sim racing, ok para sim like f1 2010 or 2011, nfs shift. This nfs reminds me old nfs most wanted. Probably my machine is too weak to handle gfx. Well see if this title emerged 8/10 or total crap.
