Hey everyone, I have a couple quick questions

1: is the kindle Fire going to be A decent Tablet?
2: Will it have access to the Full android app store?
3: Does it have a built in Gyroscope? (For the motion sensitive games)
I want a good tablet, But Am not shelling out 500 some dollars For a Ipad.

Thanks.

:EDIT:

I recently came across the nook color, How does it compare to the FIre.

Thanks Again.

1. Looks like it. It should be based on the RIM Playbook, which is a decent notebook in turn.
2. Dunno, but it should. Amazon might pull off a dirty trick and only install Amazon Store on it, though.
3. The Playbook has one, so it should.

I'm myself interested in one, and I'll probably pick it up as soon as it's available here.

Cyanogenmod Team will most likely try to develop on it, so you can expect it to be a decent tablet, plus the official Google Market.

It does not have the official Android Market installed. However, you can be quite sure that within a few weeks of it's release, someone will find a way to get it on there. It's Android, so someone will find a way.

1. Hell yes
2. No, it will come with only the Amazon AppStore, however like others have said, the android market will be able to be hacked onto it
3. No, it only has an accelerometer

It also lacks a camera, Bluetooth, a microphone, a GPS, and a micro-SD card slot

For the $200 price tag, there's nothing much more to ask for from the Kindle Fire, with the dual-core processor included on board. Like others have said, Android developers will probably find a way to get the Android Market onto it eventually.

Lol here i come thinking people would talk about Dark Souls and what kindling the bonfire would do.

In the Android section?

But yeah, definitely eyeballing this, especially with my PC being a bitch. I could use something cheap for your standard internet access and what not, possibly even for some homework. I also find myself drawn to gadgets like this (tablets, handhelds, etc), but just never get them since I make like no cash.

Ok, Thanks for all the help. I have 2 more questions.

1: In terms of storage, How much can be stored on the cloud?
2: What's a good guide on Hacking Android?

Thanks for everything.

1) Amazon offers 5GB of free storage for the Amazon Cloud. Not sure if it's any different if you have a Kindle Fire. However, there are options to expand that through an annual payment system.
2) Rooting Android is different for every device, so you will have to search for the method specific to yours. Since the Kindle Fire isn't released yet, there won't be any available methods at this point in time.

Are you certain of that? I can see a lot of sites listing it with a gyroscope, and it'd be plainly stupid from Amazon to not include one, considering how many games use it.
From the official Amazon app store FAQ in reguards to the Kindle Fire:
Your app cannot require a gyroscope, camera, WAN module, Bluetooth, microphone, GPS, or micro-SD to function.

1) It has 16GB storage built in, but a lot of the content will be streamed, be it videos from amazon's prime streaming service or music from their cloud player. For cloud storage they do have the cloud drive like Carbon mentioned.
2) What CarbonX13 said.
