First PS3 3.7 firmware game working on 3.55

The first game to work on the 3.55 firmware is here and would you believe it is (arguably) the most anticipated game for the ps3 ie. Uncharted 3.

An eboot fix released by a ps3hax member has allowed pira-I mean ps3 owners to play the game without having 3.7 firmware.

Is this the beginning of the era of 3.7 games on CFW? Discuss

update: errrr seems like it's not quite working properly, you can't open Drake's Journal, and that will be game breaking i'll bet... If he automatically opens it, then bang! Pop goes the game.

It is fixed by updating the game, but then it's the eboot fix doesn't work. buh!

(1) Install Uncharted 3 onto the PS3
(2) delete camera.txt from dev_hdd0/GAMES/BCES01175/PS3_GAME/USRDIR/build/main/movies1/
(3) Replace the EBOOT.BIN in dev_hdd0/GAMES/BCES01175/PS3_GAME/USRDIR/ with the one included in the RAR
(4) Launch Game
(5) PROFIT

*NOTE: GOING TO DRAKE’S JOURNAL FREEZES GAME. UPDATE 1.01 FIXES THIS BUG, BUT IS ENCRYPTED. DO NOT UPDATE THE GAME, IT WILL BECOME UNPLAYABLE ON 3.55.

You should really include that big asterix in the OP.

Also, the game is 49GB, not nearly worth that imo. To all those wanting to download it, have fun... hope it's worth all that space to download, unrar, and transfer it to you ps3.

nah i wanted to point out that u can play the game with an eboot fix. maybe the new update was specifically for this issue. It just overwrites the older eboot with a newer eboot which has newer keys so if moogle can update the eboot to include the even newer keys then that would bring us back to cfw running it.
i was just happy to hear that no hard mod is required to decrypt any 3.7 game. there is hope... there is always hope

It's not exactly hard, just a long process of downloading and transferring it via FTP (Possibly a half a day or so depending on internet speed). If people really want it, they'll get it .

i will be doing this with my copy, but it will still take a long time to rip and a lot of my hard drive space, i only have 165gb on my cfw ps3 left

by the way today i found a full fix for uncharted 3 that does fix the drakes journal crashing issue. i cant check if its legit because i cant get the game right now sadly but we should here about if it works or not soon, im sure it works.

I didn't see any report of the new fix for Uncharted 3 yet.

It seems the first released fix is based on a pre-released version?
It's bugging at mission 9 and 11.
You need to download a save from the net to continue playing from that point.


PS3Hax said that BattleField 3 use a new method to unlock the 3.70+ game, so maybe they could use that new method to really fix uncharted 3.
