Umm... the quality of a game is not determined by its replay battle. It's a factor. But there is so much wrong with judging a game solely for its replay value. If that's how things work, then Mario Party has to be the most excellent game series of all time.

I loved the original Star Fox 64, but the 3D remake was overall a major disappointment. I really enjoyed the 3D remake of OoT, it had great new graphics, MQ, and the boss thing was sort of cool. All that SF64 had was an (at best) mediocre graphics overhaul, and didn't utilize the 3D all that well IMHO. I am not opposed to 3D remakes of games (I would love a 3DS MM), but they need to not just be new graphics, they have to actually add something to the game. Think LA and LADX, or LttP and LttPFS. Both added at least a new dungeon in addition to switching consoles and updating graphics. Cmon Nintendo if you are going to do the remake thing, at least do it right.

No online, so I didn't buy.

my point exactly. i wasnt going to buy the game after i found out it didnt have wifi, i ended up getting it as a gift though. i beat the game within 3 hours.

comparing a flying shooter to a racing game is completely different. And im pretty sure star fox wouldnt have lagged at all if it had wifi, think about it. we had metroid prime hunters for the ds and i never had any lag problems with that game. I think i wouldve rather waited longer for better features on a game instead of just a plain boring port. nintendo would definitely be making more bank right now if they wouldve just been A LITTLE more patient.

personally i liked OoT a lot more than SF64. longer gameplay, much nicer graphics, overall great storyline as always. i dont have much to complain about. zelda itself doesnt need an online mode for the fact that its an rpg game. if you make a flying shooter, you're just asking for an online mode. especially with the technology we have today it should not be a problem at all. and why limit it to only local play? i really dont understand what was going through nintendo's mind. are they all smoking crack? i think they were just being lazy trying to milk some money out of old games. nintendo is just digging itself into a bigger hole. i hope their future games are much more rewarding.

There's always Star Fox Assault 2, if that ever happens to come into existence.

I actually wasn't at all Disappointed for the most part, considering that I never got to play the original N64 version. Wifi to me would likely be comprised of nothing but screaming 5 year olds and D/Cers, not my cup of coffee if you know what I mean.

However, I wish there was a "Wolf Mode" or something like that.

At least it has multiplayer. Beats Ocarina of Time 3D, and I've been a Zelda fan since I first played Link's Awakening.
You sir are a bad man, you're one of those men teachers warn you about in school, a very bad man indeed

if you think that would be an issue then just make some friends online or play with some real friends.
well still. not many people these days meet up or hang out to play their handhelds these days, especially if theyre older so a local mode is definitely pretty pointless if there isnt going to be a wifi mode. personally i would like to be able to battle with some friends over wifi instead of having to meet up.

Count me in. I never played the older versions of this game so this is my first Starfox.

Just played the "first chapter" and never played it again. I felt sorry for my 2000php for buying this game @_@

Just because it has mutiplayer, it beats OOT 3d? I'm I the only one that see something wrong with that?

Hey, Ocarina of Time had great multiplayer that Nintendo foolishly cut out. You guys probably wouldn't remember it since it was a super-secret-never-released part of the N64 game.

Still, multiplayer does add a sense of lasting appeal that can't be topped by just adding more content. I can play Fallout 3 for hundreds of hours but eventually I'll be done with the game. At least with multiplayer things stay constantly fresh. New people to fight, new content (occasionally) added on, etc etc. I'm not saying it makes any game better, but if the game is able to pull off a good multiplayer, then that's certainly a huge plus to it and is almost required.

I can't speak for Star Fox 64's multiplayer and I only vaguely remember Star Fox Assault's multiplayer, however.

I for one am not disappointed, but then I also didn't have unrealistic expectations. I got one of my favorite games ever in 3d with better graphics. That's good enough for me.

I do agree that multi-player can add lasting appeal to a game overall, but that is on the basis that the multi-player portion actually has something to offer. Everyone's been complaining that SF643D not having online multi-player is what killed the game for them. The real question is "does the existing multi-player option offer enough for players to WANT to play it online?" If yes, then their complaints are valid, as they'd be missing out. However, seeing that it is simple dog-fighting with power-up makes me think otherwise. It's like playing Mario Kart with your friends, but the only option is battle mode. That is simply not enough multi-player content, and granting the game online multi-player just for that is wasteful. I don't know anyone that likes to play Starfox Command's battle mode online. How many people upset over no online mode liked SFC's online mode? Just because the game prior had the option doesn't mean it's worth it without the content to back it up.

They lost a sale to me because it didn't support online so, yeah, disappointed.
