Interesting news!

http://forum.supercard.sc/thread-9390-1-1.html

I took a quick look at the sources, and indeed it seems to include also the sources for the NDS side of the communications! Lots of uncommented code, so it will take a while to decipher it, but looks like at least in theory I might be able to move the AdLib emulation in DS2x86 from the MIPS side to the ARM7 side.

Can't wait to start digging into this further!

Hmm.. Looks like the Nintendo DS side is built with an ancient DevKitPro r17. Does anyone know where I could find that old version? Just the source code for it would be sufficient, I think, as the main thing is to see what are the DSTwo SDK features and what are the default features of that old DevKitPro (in the SDK sources).

Have you tried getting in touch with the devkitpro team? Wintermute might still have r17 and if the SDK can be updated to the latest version then maybe at long last things can be updated.

Hopefully someone puts this information on the front page. Cause alot of people gave up on properly dedicate themselves to code DSTWO specific homebrew cause of the limited SDK.
Also, does this mean that those portable browsers can properly be ported now? If so, this might turn up to be great :)

Eventually, yes. However even though the full source code (including the entire DS/DSTwo communication layer) has been released it is not very well documented so it will take some time to figure out how to add wifi support to the DS/DSTwo communication layer.

Holy sh*t. An update to the SDK?! I never thought this would happen... EVER.

Not only that, but full source code to everything including the DS/DSTwo communication stuff. In other words, a port of dingux to the DSTwo is now possible, at least once the the source code has been properly documented (as of right now it is still an uncommented mess, but the full source is still there).

wow i hope to see some new updates now form the SC team especially the GBA emulator
The release of this SDK is more than likely the death nell as far as the SC team are concerned. I doubt we will see much more than the game fixes that we have seen over the past few months.
Maybe now we'll see MAME4all get optimized =)
At the least we might see MAME4All running New Zealand Story and New Zealand Story 2 at long last.
Oh, then that means they can finally port/make a good Snes emulator. SnemulDS just doesn't cut it.
They already do have a good SNES emulator. BAGSFC and CATSFC are far better than Snemul but now maybe they can be improved even further.
