So I followed the instructions here that tell you how to extract the necessary data (sound, textures, etc) in order to replace multiple files at a time since replacing each file on by one is a very tedious task. I followed the instructions for both programs (wiiscrubber 1.4 and the partition software) exactly, yet, when it gets to the time I put the partition1.bin, it tells me it's too big? WTF? So many people on youtube have used Dolphin to demonstrate this, yet here I am unable to get this hacked partition back into my LEGALLY backed up ISO image.

Here's the guide I followed - http://www.mariomods...ts-in-bulk.html

What am I doing wrong?

This tells me that my partition size is correct - http://wiki.gbatemp....tion_Sizes_List

Edit: Do I need to scrub the ISO image beforehand? And once I can resolve this issue, do I just use CFG Loader (for the altered image) or what?

Edit 2 (10/10/11 - 9:00 AM) Alright, so I managed to merge the altered partition (with altered textures, etc) just fine, but Dolphin crashed after loading a scrubbed ISO. Do I add partition1.bin BEFORE I scrub it or what?

Why using this old and outdated tool?
Use wit instead (or qtwitgui if you need a gui around wit).

Oh. I wasn't aware of this tool, sorry for being such a n0ob. Will this make merging modified partitions easier, especially if it tells me that it's "too big"?

I can't even find a decent beginners guide for this program, on top of that, it tells me that id can't determine the version I'm using, then directs me to a site with non-GUI version, which does't help me at all.

WIT is freaking great, but it too is a little above my head when I try to use it. I've only been able to use it with batch files already set up by other users.

Why is QtWitGUI freaking out when I open it, I got if from google code and it tells me that it couldn't recognize the version I was using. WTF?

If I do use the one without the GUI, where can I find the command(s) to extract and compile the game once I replace the files I want to? I'm not getting the info I came here for.

Edit 4:33 PM - Used the command "wit extract RSBE01.iso DESTDIR" and told me that it's an invalid Wii partition! What the bullocks?

(followed this - http://gbatemp.net/topic/280851-i-want-to-hack-my-ssbbnstc-u-eternaleg-replacing-files/ )

Any help?

Okay, after doing some messing aroud on the Wii ISO tool (WIT), the program tells me that RSBE01.iso isn't "valid" or "complete" in the fact that it's has missing data. Okay, that makes no sense as I load the ISO just fine in Dolphin and on a real Wii, so, yeah. That's weird. No wonder it isn't working with these programs.

Invalid Wii Partion blah-blah-blah. I refuse to rip the game again, as it equals more wear and tear on the Wii's DVD-ROM, so, I might have to obtain it by *ahem* other means.

SSBB is known for incomplete and bad dumps.
a) Bad dumps because SSBB is a double layer disc and old cIOS can't handle the the layer break correct.
b) Incomplete because the old LIBWBFS (base for most tools and loaders) doesn't recognize the second partition table and makes bad scrubbing.

If you have only the b) issue, try: wit copy --psel data ssbb.iso new-ssbb.iso
It will try to scrub again.

I dumped my SSBB with CFG-Loader and settings "install_partitions=1:1" (file config.txt). Cleanrip should also work.

so, do you refuse to play the game ever again as well? because by the time you play the game for 30 minutes, you have put just as much wear and tear on your DVD drive. next you will be refusing to drive a car because it puts wear and tear on the engine and refusing to eat solid foods because it is too hard on your teeth.

Okay, I'll try that command and see what happens. If it doesn't work, I'll use those settings and rip the ISO image again. The funny thing is, CleanRip stops halfway through with a "drive motor has stopped" error and CFG doesn't have a progress bar, so I don't know how long I need to wait. Instead, I used USB Loader GX to rip it since it gave me an ETA that I could SEE.

Edit 12:28AM - Yep! The ISO image is definitely not the right size, as using that command yielded nothing but "invalid Wii disc" errors. What a load of bullocks. Looks like I'll need to re-rip it (or find another way of getting it to save time).

I don't remember the time, but I know that I have gone this way, but using wit for the transfer, to get a complete dump of ssbb.

Update - USB Loader GX still gives an incomplete dump (missing partitions) and CFG USB Loader has no progress bar, and I waited ~30 minutes....nothing. CleanRip fails after 85% with an error stating the drive motor (DVD ROM) stopped. I might just download the ISO if it's going to be this much of a hassle. Yeah, I'm willing to go extreme on this and obtain the ISO by other means, since I own the game in question.

Yeah, as you can see, I'm at a loss here. The only program that actually rips the WBFS files has no progress bar, neither does it complete the rip after 30 minutes. So, I'm pretty much SOL at this point.

Oh, and the fact that there are two files called "config.txt" for CFG loader only confuse me more.
