If only it wasn't so repetitive, I would have bought it.

Looks great and all but I still need a reason to say "I need to rush out and buy me a 3DS!". Still looks cool though.

This is what I sorta dreaded about a much more powerful portable: instead of being a refuge for 2D games (a la DS), it's going to be merely yet another version of the same game that's already on many other platforms.

Sigh.

I don't see problem. Other people like me have no console (other than Wii). I am 3DS/PC player.

I think with PSP, it was a bigger issue because most gamers weren't ready to move most of their gaming to a handheld, and the system mostly offers a console experience on the go. But I think that might be 3DS' only real niche, considering the lukewarm response to 3D. With the proliferation of mobile gaming, I think offering that experience now has a chance to be more popular.

I dig where you're coming from personally, though, and I think we're still going to see ample 2D games on the system. But in order for publishers to justify a price that is vastly different from iOS and Android games, console-style gameplay on the go is probably going to be a big selling point. Sony was just too quick to try and market that type of gaming, I believe. Nintendo has been very smart in that regard -- always keeping the gameplay ideas on the forefront whilst waiting for the public to dictate hardware necessities. Sony seems to always want to innovate on that front, at least in terms of raw power.

If anyone still cares, here's some clean direct feed footage of the game-

Basically, it's apparently exactly the same as the Wii version.

Err, yeah, I'm one of those, too, and I'd still prefer the option of a different, 2D, game rather than the same game on a half-dozen platforms. (And it's kinda moot, in your case, since the game is on Wii.)

I am horrified and mortified at the difference from the 3DS version and the DS version. I just tried out the DS version because of this versions graphics and I thought it would be on the same level give or take. DS version is an arcade... wtf!
