I tried the US version and the Chinese translation of Sword of Mana, and both work on GBARunner3.
At least using #80 is fine, I only tried this one.

You were right I tried build #80 and both the American and European versions of Sword of Mana work correctly without any apparent errors, thanks for the advice

But I feel like #80 is really unstable, you might run into errors again after playing for a while.
I created a folder in the SD card root, store some GBARunner3.nds files.
For example: SD:/GBR3/79/GBARunner3.nds , SD:/GBR3/80/GBARunner3.nds
If I want to switch versions, I just launch godmode9i and copy-paste the GBARunner3.nds into the emulator folder.

It's probably better to play GBA games on another device.

You're absolutely right that it would be much better to enjoy GBA titles on another device, but I really enjoy playing Castlevania games on the DS

I'll definitely follow your example and create a couple of folders for each build, but in the meantime, I hope GBARunner3 comes back sometime soon :)

+1 for playing on another device, if available. There's a platform called RetroAchievements which gives full achievement sets and even subsets (additional sets of achievements) for retro games up to and including the Wii. Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow has 66 achievements to get https://retroachievements.org/game/510 as well as a bonus subset and a specialty subset which you can access from the page I linked.

Getting achievements breathes new life into these games we've played since childhood, and makes picking up new games more engaging as well. Definitely check it out. They unfortunately don't work on original hardware or DSi, but plenty of emulators support them.

We hope someday my friend

is the RTC still not in GBAR3, or is it because I'm on dsPico
I'm trying to play pokemon emerald on it and 1) it gives me a "the battery has run dry", and 2) the visual effect for encountering a wild pokemon is messed up and runs a lot slower than it should
why not just play on GBAR2 ? i played emerald in GBAR2 and it's RTC work just fine, both berry growth and daily event work as expected

Hey guys, how are you? I have a new problem

I finished Final Fantasy 3 on DS (I didn't like the job system much) and wanted to continue with the following titles but in their GBA versions

My problem is with Final Fantasy 4 and 6 In the case of 4, the screen freezes on white when I select new game and it doesn't progress, although the initial cinematic plays fine

In FF6 everything seems perfect, but as soon as a fight starts, small black bars flicker horizontally during the battle, but then in the open world, cutscenes, and menus everything looks fine

I should clarify that I added audio and color palette patches to these two games, so I'm going to try playing the vanilla versions and, in the case of the fourth game, a saved game from an emulator to see if it works

I wanted to try the games on GBA Runner 2, but they don't appear. Only Final Fantasy Tactics Advance shows up. Anyway, any advice is welcome, and I'll update if I solve the problem

Hello again, update :

Regarding Final Fantasy 4 using a vanilla version without hacks the game started up and plays great without any lag, freezing or graphical glitches

With Final Fantasy 6 everything remains the same whether with ROM hacks or the vanilla game. Although everything runs well it still has graphical glitches during battles so I suppose it's acceptable and I'll have to get used to it

btw Final Fantasy 5 works great with or without patches which is fantastic since I wanted to play these three games with audio patches to make them sound like the Super Nintendo games But I'm not complaining, sorry for the inconvenience And if anyone happens to have any advice for FF6, I'd appreciate it as well
