first thing with dehacked im gonna try to upload is doom zero with z depth lighting and GREATLY IMPROVED PERFORMANCE since the last version! the custom gun script is confirmed to work, so the sky of the gba ewram is the limit. I tried doom64 and no sadly the second level crashed, but hey the dehacked worked!

here it is with all the latest and greatest updates including dehacked!

Oh DeHacked?!
With that ported over, then perhaps the Total Conversion mod to convert Doom into Wolfenstein 3D by LasRojas might work with it now.

Perhaps Original Missions and Nocturnal Missions could be worth a try?

What is up with the Heretic image? Is this potentially going to be made available to play on GBA due to the doom engine being under the hood?

Oh wow! How did you manage this?
More so how did you manage to get all the 6 episodes in?!
I tested out Episode 1 and damn, it looks great, and sounds good too! Something the GBA original can't compete with for sure.
I think the only thing that looks kinda odd is the font itself, looks a bit squished, but readable, if that can be improved upon, that'd make it absolutely the definitive version for GBA.

Do you think Spear of Destiny could be possible too?

Wow @Bazooka_Face that's nice you pulled it off, not sure how the post above mine got into it, but for me the download link when I try and unrar it says the file is damaged (downloaded it twice to be sure.)

GBA Wolf3D for me always was a mixed bag, what made it in I like a lot but pissed me off the skimped on the music package above any other gripes. I own the game as it is actually two copies, game+manual, but found this immaculate sealed one a couple years ago for the price of loose so I snapped it up as I love the art (it was my first PC shareware game.)

The best way perhaps to share Heretic would be through an IPS patch to a main game rom, like the few years old massive Doom 1 and 2 upgrade patches for those GBA games. Or given the amount of roms on there anyway that fly under the radar it could accidentally show up on the archive org site I suppose as a learning project with the source attached or not?

I used 7zip and it unrared fine.

oh hell yes it can!

oh yeah, and the how. The rendering engine is completely custom for the gba, has nothing to do with the carmack asm code of dos. the enemy state machines and mechanics were all carefully ported over to the gba, while profiling for hotspots that i could move in iwram. iwram is maxed out, but hey you get around 50fps in e1m1 lol. go to change view and enable fast waitstates or whatever its called. framerate will skyrocket

go to sound to increase sample rate too

I'm still getting 'the archive is either unknown format or damaged' using my copy of 7zip or winrar. If it works for you, it's just not meant to be, it's fine.

jjust tested it and it works for me, im assuming your rar program is giving you issues on your end. try an online unzipper or something. are you on windows?

Yeah I'm on windows. I've got both Winrar and 7zip installed which is why it had me confused as I've never hit this issue before. It's fine, I can see you did a solid job from the images.
