What the title says. It has always been my dream to have every virtual console title in my home screen, so I'm very interested in the possibility of the limit being surpassed. I could dedicate a lot of time and even money into it.

Alternatively I would like a way to store the vc titles somewhere else and keep the home screen only for real Wii U titles (but still have them be the VC versions with manuals and all). Does Loadiine or another app work this way?

This issue seems to be baked deep inside of the code of both the Wii U and 3DS. I would think that after all the gigaleaks and years of looking into both systems, that if a means to remove the artificial limit hasn't been discovered yet; that it's not likely to be addressed anytime soon, if ever. Can't tell you how many different topics on the subject have appeared on these boards over the years only for the same result to happen time and time again: no new progress, and everyone is just left wishing and hoping that maybe in the future it will be figured out. And hey, maybe it will one day, but I'm so burnt out on the issue, that I'm just personally resigned to the reality that the 300 title limit likely will never be removed.

To address your other issue, yes you can use Loadiine to install all the other Wii U titles and VC titles and injects that you please. However, it is slower, each title takes at least a minute to boot up after selecting them, even for small VC games, and the more games you put into Loadiine, the longer the app itself will take to initially load. Plus, you can't use it in Aroma, you can in Tiramisu though. Having said that, I see value in it, I have like 500 DS games and injects in my copy of Loadiine, and I think it works great as like a faux DS emulator even if it takes like a minute or 2 to boot into it.

I see, I can rest now that I have a basically definitive answer. Guess I'll be using loadiine for the less desirable vc titles then. Thanks for the attention.

The work around that has worked for me is one that's been discussed here in other posts and requieres setting up different users. The key is that you can install more than 300 titles, the problem is only 300 will appear per user and per screen along with a pop up saying you have more than 300 titles.

What I did and can help you to resolve your issue is to create a master list of all titles in the Wii U (non-injected) and sorting on different orders and have different titlemaps for every user. That way if for some reason I add a new game or delete an old game the list will show only what is installed based on the list.

For example.
User 1 Lists my games this way: Wii U, Wii, NDS, N64, SNES, GB, NES
User 2 Lists my games this way: N64, SNES, GB, NES, Wii U, Wii, NDS
User 3 Lists my games this way: GB, NES, N64, SNES, Wii U, Wii, NDS,

That why you theoretically can have close to 3,000 games as you can have 10 users.

I haven't tried inject but I think it would take the ID of the host title.

I was thinking on setting a guide an auto process to sort the lists. If you are interested I can share the excel I made here.

I think most of us are aware of such workarounds. But the reality is, these are band-aids that don't accomplish the main end goal we all are searching for: everything in one environment, no refreshes or changing of users of any sort, or anything like that; where every single title on offer is immediately accessible to any Joe Shmo who picks up the device.

Yeah, I know and hopefully someday with Launchiine or some alternative, but as he was also asking for "a way to store the vc titles somewhere else and keep the home screen only for real Wii U titles", that would be the closest. That's what I do, Wii U and Wii games in my main account (user 1) and VC in the second user. That way if you feel like playing a NES VC you just have to change from user 1 to user 2.

we have this but someone need to put some work on it
