Hi everyone,
Hope your day’s been going great!
I’ve had a bit of a problem last few weeks because we used. I bought off of a local store and when I got home, it worked fine until I tried updating it to a later firmware, cause it was on a early one, and now it is in a brick state..
When you turn it on, it stays on this Wii U screen forever, and sometimes I'll get lucky with this unresponsive "Hold the power button for at least four seconds screen". (Images linked below)
I’ve tried UDPIH, but it keeps freezing on 3 different SD cards (Sandisk Extreme Pro, an old Transcend, and a 1gb card from IDK where) All of them having the same result. A frozen UDPiH, where I can’t set a cold boot title, or anything. (linked as well)
I think it's a NAND/EMMC issue, but not completely sure. It does look like it all right.
I’ve tried contacting the store, multiple times, because when I bought it, they said,” If you have any issues or problems with the console, let us know”.
So I did…
First time I called the guy on the phone said to come in, but call them first, so they can get their "video game guy". I Told them that I'd be able to come over there in 1-2 weeks because of my schedule, and they said ok. But then, the owner got on the phone told me that their "video game guy" said that there was no reason to update because the nintendo online doesn't work anymore (I knew that from my 3ds.. but okay?). I don't think this "video game guy" even knows what firmware is, cause it was on a really old version! He said the same thing to come in, so I said the same thing.
Now, this week, finally, I would have time to go there tomorrow. I called the store, and the same guy from last time answered. I said I'd be able to come in tomorrow, and he said ok, call the store lcose to when you leave so we can get the "game guy" down at the same time. Everything sounded good from here, until the next day...
I call them like they said to, and a new guy answers the phone, I catch him up, and ask if the owner and the other guy are there. He says no, and he says he'll call the game guy. Then, he calls back,"I talked to our video game guy, and he said he 'doesn't do refunds'. He's a 3rd party that sells through our store."
I then say the owner of the store told me if I had any problems, to contact you guys. And this guy gives me the owner's number. I've attempted a call once, and texted as well. I'm leaving it at that.
Something about this is really sketchy.
Really.
Sketchy.
If anyone can help me or guide me in what to do in this situation, as I really don't want to lose $130 on this
Thank you,
PC64
(P.S. : It looks like it may not be a HYnix console, as it has black ports instead of colored)
