So very brief, I have a few New 2DS XL's, and one of them I just want to region change it to TWN since I am just using it as a test 3DS, and I feel like this would be neat to do. But, TWN firmwares only released on the old 3DS models, not the new ones. Will installing TWN firmware (using ctrtransfer) be safe on a new 2DS?

Region changing is not recommended as you put more risk to the console over installing custom firmware. In addition, uninstalling CFW can essentially brick your console if it was region changed, and not to mention limiting your ability to do system transfers to another region console or the usage of online services. Luma3DS is able to play games from any region regardless of language, and if you know what everything on the system menu does, then you should have no troubles using it normally.

Well like I said, this is just a spare 2ds that I used to use but moved the data to another 2ds due to the hinges begining to fail and the screens outer shell was cracking, so its just a 3ds I use to test things on and sometimes mess around with. Dont worry, I always make NAND backups just in case.

Why in the world would TWN firmware be "neat"? (Why not play some "neat" games instead..?)

I'm sure if you try hard enough you can find some way to screw up your 3DS badly enough that no one will be able to help you.

Meh, it simply just crashed so I region changed it to Korean, plus I find it neat because of it's layout and other things that normally are not seen on modern 3DS firmware.
