Get off gbatemp, nobody wants your fascist bullshit. You wanna go fucking occupy a country, annex them? Be the fucking fourth reich? I hope you get deployed and have your head shot you piece of shit.

is the ICC sleeping trump commited so many crimes internationally and yet their too chicken when he's on their turf to arrest him? vance would be a complete idiot to launch a nuke directly at the hauge just for one gasbag pos

Anecdotal, but of all the people I know who are either active duty or former, most are left leaning
Anecdotal as well, I'm coming from military family that has two as active duty, both from Air Force are fairly conservative, however she told me about very good numbers of troopers are liberal.

Navy has more moderate/liberal troopers and Marines have many conservative troopers. US Army is just like 60% conservative as rest are moderate/liberal but not necessarily MAGA or supportive of MAGA. Vast majority of them favor restrained rather than kill anyone with lethal force. Most of them avoid the political.

If Trump invoke Insurrection Act, protesters almost always avoid the military like they didn't confront nor mess with National Guard, so active duty likely to confer to National Guard to deal with it as protesters move away from the military.

If the military used lethal force to kill the protesters in mass, so it would destroy the reputation for Trump and GOP. National Guard don't want to have a repeat of Kent shooting in 1970s. Also, it could destroy the moral for service members, akin to Russian military.

OMG this has NEVER been done before in the history of the world!
...and once again they know damn well it has been done before, but hey, GOTTA HATE TRUMP!!!
https://www.reuters.com/world/europ...ts-acquire-greenland-reutersipsos-2026-01-14/

If 1 in 5 support this, that means 4 out of 5 don't. To clarify this for you in particular, 4 is a bigger number than 1. This means the majority of Americans (and statistically this has to include a number of MAGA) don't support this Greenland nonsense. But, I think even single digit numbers are too difficult for you to comprehend here given your responses on this subject.

is your brain able too is the real question!
Do you need to check into rehab or something?

do you ever think about how you would have felt ten years ago

Any person with common sense and morals can read this just fine!
All you do is claim any opposition that dares share their opinion that the person is unwell and crashing out.
C'mon you have to come up with something new and better than that, but is your brain able too is the real question!

FACE THE FACT THAT TRUMP IS YOUR BOOGEYMAN!!!
everythings been done before, that doesnt make it right.

Seems like Davos at least made an impact. Whether it was Carney's standing ovation speech, his talk with Rutte, the retaliatory threats or something else (though i doubt it'd be his private talk with king Philip and De Wever :p), but he seems to have made a turn.

That makes the big question: now what? That 'trade bazooka' is most likely not going to happen, but what of that eu "trade deal" everyone rejected to sign the moment Trump showed how unreliable he is?

Right wing in Europe is the Left wing here and vice versa.
Stop trying to imply their the same!
1. You didn't answer the question. I still don't know your stance
2. Not vice versa

If you think Putin, Hitler or (in my case) Leopold 2 won popularity contests you'd be seriously mistaken.

feel obligated to share... old prophecy material
is about to create general two sides of conflict
"...America's task is to bring about a global crisis in order to weaken the economies of European countries and thus enable Russia to dictate the terms of sale of natural resources...”

The aftermath is in more than one way... Diverging.

Trump returns home, says he got all he wanted and even mentioned it being a very good time in Davos. Oh, and there's a 'framework of a deal'.

European commentators and former eu staff call it a breaking point, or a point of no return: the us simply isn't a partner anymore. That earlier us extortion deal von Der Leyen agreed to will still most likely be voted out. That framework of that Greenland deal is openly mocked. As is that 'golden dome' that gets floated. Oh, and that Trump can't even separate Greenland from Iceland.
At least Britain and Denmark are insulted for Trump's minimalisation of their effort in Afghanistan (hint: the us triggered nato's article 5 for assistance in Afghanistan. Those countries responded, and had their share of casualties).
The strange result is that the UK is, as a consequence, rethinking their alliance with the eu after brexit.

That trade bazooka may be averted, but the eu still has a major economical handle: us debt. Though not centralized (meaning: we can't control what our companies invest in), pulling funds from the us on a decent scale will crash the economy. And I think that after this debacle, the only reason not to is that it'll bounce straight back. Meaning: were most likely taking steps to reduce that codependence before the us crashes it themself

They could also block US AI and pop the bubble which is propping up the US economy.

I already know from day one that US invasion of Greenland isn't going to happen at all since US could expand the military and secure the mineral rights under 1951 treaty. Denmark isn't going to let China to interfere with Greenland.

I do think that rift between US and Europe relation gets lessen and lessen soon, so they will forget about Greenland as US become more focused on China that is seen as real threat to American security. It would be major victory for the US if CCP collapses after failed invasion with Taiwan, so they wouldn't have to worry about future China's military anymore, so Greenland would be no longer focus for US government, so it means smaller military and less to no extraction of minerals.

As a European I'm sorry to disappoint you: we will NEVER forget the betrayal! We will also never forget how lobotomized the general US population is to vote a criminal grifter into their highest rank f*cking TWO times. To me and most of the people I know here in Europe you are a lost cause. It's better to cut our ties early and realize our loss than helping / enabling Trump to roll out fascism through-out the world. In contrast to Republicans we are not his personal Sycophants. What you will see in future is:

- Europe will do less and less trade with the US
- Europe will share less and less intelligence information with the US
- Europe will find new friends in the world and there's absolutely nothing you will be able to do about it

See: the problem isn't only Trump. The problem is the general US-American population. They failed an open book test, TWICE. The first time we were all like: yeah, probably they have been ill-informed, probably they didn't knew what this guy really stands for and what atrocities he committed in the past. You don't have this excuse this time. You ruined our alliance and friendship by voting the orange dipshit in, again, even though everybody told you it was the worst idea you ever had. If you are not completely destroying GOP, run the Nuremberg 2.0 trials, and fix your check and balances IT IS OVER. I for myself, and every European I personally know, will never trust you otherwise. You also definitely need to something about the Heritage Foundation. I don't know, maybe declare them as the terrorist organization (they are), prosecute their members and lock them away. As long as this thing is allowed to exist under your watch there definitely won't be an easy fix to the relationship and trust we've build over the last century.

If you believe that this will just pass by, especially once Trump is finally gone, one day, your are completely delusional. This will not happen. US-Americans cannot be trusted. Heck, they even fail to vote in their own interest. This is how dumb they are. I know you love to think of the USA as being somewhat superior to everybody else. Let me get this straight for you: you are absolutely nothing special. Your feeling of superiority is basically just a balloon filled with hot air. You cannot even reign in your wealthy billionaire class. All those years you said "we need to accept children being shot to death in school shootings, because of 2A ... we need to have weapons to defend ourselves against a tyrannical government" has also only been lies. Now you are faced with a tyrannical government killing your own population and you are doing SHIT against it. Most Americans are really just a bunch of cowards with a big mouth.

Even if you face fascism you are not able to get your asses off the couch and do something. Let me tell you this: I have a bunch of US-American friends that I love and respect, but even those guys are agreeing with me on that point: you are a lost cause ... you just don't seem to realize it, yet.

I have lost all my respect for the USA, honestly. By now your country, and especially your Administration is the laughing stock of the world. Behind your backs everyone is making fun of you. You never had less international respect than nowadays. Your mobster of a President is done. No one takes his threats serious any longer and no one will allow him to strong-arm anybody, any longer.

Seems like you don't have the cards any longer, I'm sorry ...

I'm extremely anti-Trump since day one and didn't vote Trump in 2016, 2020 and 2024, so don't blame on me for all issues in the US. You have to go after Valwinz and all other Trump supporters whoever put whole problems at first place.

I don't give a damn about anyone trash the US, so go ahead and I truly don't care about my country.

My post (#97) was just point at China that US government seen as threat to global before Trump came in.

Also, Europe has issue with rapid growth of far right wings that pushed to become a polarized like you saw in the US. In the US, GOP went to further right, became far right and embraced the fascism with Trump as prime example.

I'm not happy with those situation in the US and the overseas, including European countries.

I absolutely hate Trump and most of GOP, so I was appalled at growing of far right parties in the world.

This is due to the GOP and the Heritage Foundation. They are even admitting it publicly, which is why I told you the US-Americans need to find a solution for this, first. Otherwise, there's absolutely no way going back, ever again.

Sorry...why do you say "Europe will..." ? We already are busy doing that. On that liberation day...yeah, you'd probably be correct that that was the great desillusion. But EU trade is already diminished (yes: tariffs), intelligence is less commonly shared due to Trump's negligence in his first term, and other trade partners...okay, perhaps that's still more of a future prospect.

It's certainly true that that second election has no excuse whatsoever. In his first term, Trump knew he wouldn't lose popularity if he shot someone. With his second election he knows he can cause an insurrection and doesn't lose popularity. It might not be a large majority (or even one to begin with), but there's a sufficient amount of people who buy into the rhetoric that makes former allies into enemies. Enough people wanted a terrorist in charge. They wanted a dictator. And the rest might just be innocent bystanders (meaning: the entire democrat party), but they're letting it happen.
