No, that isn't what I said. I'm saying about unfriendly countries like Iran, Lebanon and others allowing Americans to visit, so when regular people ask about nationality, Americans would rather to identify as Canadian or others to not deal with anti-American sentiment. Even, many of those Americans heavily dislike US government's meddle with other countries. That has been around for decades.

This is not what I got from your comment, mentionning Switzerland and Denmark. And these countries are generally friendly.

Greenland isn’t a NATO member. There’s a NATO base there, but only by agreement, which can easily be revoked by Trump without the blessing of NATO. Greenland are covered by Article 5, but Trump can object to NATO involvement, which breaks consensus, effectively blocking it, When Denmark say any move on Greenland would destroy NATO, they’re correct. Putin would love it.
Actually, the rest of NATO are obligated to launch an attack on the USA without question.

No veto, no revocation by the orange pedo is possible.

The question is whether the rest of the NATO would launch strikes against the USA. I think we should just extradite the president and prosecute him.

We could take him out easily enough. We just need an excuse.

I'd be surprised if Trump survived long enough for us to get to him though.

I just use as example if Trump screw up that affect the friendly countries.

Also, some Americans don't like to identify themselves as Americans because of embarrassed decisions by US government, especially G.W. Bush in 2000s. Pretending to be a different nationality isn't new.

I met some deaf and deafblind people from Australia who have anti-American sentiments because of bad decisions made by US government, even they lambasted American stuffs as low quality when compared to China. I realized myself that geopolitical is everything in friendly countries, not just unfriendly countries.

You gave a complicated statement that I'm not able to understand better and I had to clarify with a link in my post #439. As for reason, I'm not fond of political debate with certain hearing people that come with complicated statements, phrases and idioms, also deaf people with full sign language (ASL) aren't better if they didn't understand the written language that led to confusion and fighting.

Wait, are you really deaf?!

Yes, I’m born deaf with limited visual field that caused by Usher Syndrome.
Oh wow, I was just having a conversation with a relative who teaches sign language. I never took a moment to realize how difficult it is for someone born deaf to learn how to read and write.

It's like teaching someone how to read a foreign phonetic character system without ever letting them know how to make the sounds. Well fucking done, buddy!

Not true. I’d recommend a visit to the NATO website.

“The obligation to assist an Ally “forthwith, individually and in concert with the other Parties” arises when two conditions are met:

  1. an Ally has sustained an ‘armed attack’ as described above (the assessment of which is to be conducted in good faith by all Allies, whether individually or collectively), and
  2. the attacked Ally requests or consents to collective action under Article 5. An attacked Ally may choose not to seek assistance under Article 5, and instead address the situation through other avenues.
It is up to individual Allies to determine how they will implement the mutual assistance obligation, so long as their efforts can be regarded as consistent with what is necessary “to restore and maintain the security of the North Atlantic area.” Action pursuant to Article 5 may or may not involve the use of armed force.“

Yeah, it was very tough for me as I tried to get a full parity that well educated hearing people have one, so it is just 80%. It is still much better than in early 2000s when it was 30%. You would be appalled if you read my post from 2002 - it was very gibberish. It didn't improve by much until I took remedial English courses at community college in 2010-2011 and I just realized that deaf education and American public school failed me. Being deaf can make impossible to enjoy read literature book because I can't imagine myself about what book is saying. Read news is very easy to follow.

I was very language deprived when I was child and school didn't fix to close the gap until I went to college. Deaf children who are language deprived cannot understand well with signing and it put them at huge disadvantage.

When I see deaf teens in situation like messy debate with hearing people, so I had to help deaf teens to de-escalate since I don't want them to banned over childish fighting due to limited language compatibility. I got permanent ban from other forum when I was teen back in 2000s, so ultimately, I became more avoidant and avoid the conferential. I used to be heavy debate with political discussion in deaf forum back in late 2000s and early 2010s, so I can't deal very much when got older as my anxiety got worse, especially political discussion on Facebook is much more toxic than GBATemp's political discussion. If there is political debate between deaf people in sign language, they looks like completely childish behavior with all insulting, so I jumped in middle to end the fighting.

As for EU vs. Russia, I do think that most advantage for Russia would be nuclear weapons and some natural resources like oil but EU win handily with economic opportunity. Of course, Russia want to expand their influence on Eastern Europe that used to be communist states.

This is some heavy things i read here
And even though i give the world 10 year before the big bang 2.0, maybe less
Just want to point out that god took away our sins, not because we should go
sin like we want to, but because even though we sin, we try to become better

If I didn't know you were deaf, I may have thought it was gibberish. But Knowing that you were, I'd never EVER make fun of someone trying their best at the time working with that extra layer of difficulty.

That's how I got onto the topic with my relative. Her husband saw someone at a gas station having difficulties. He video called her up so she could translate for them. I asked her why he didn't just type out what he wanted to say, and she told me that a lot of older deaf people are illiterate. That's when I realized how amazing it IS to be able to when you are deaf. It's something we take for granted.

Yeah, Putin has said many times that he wants to put the USSR back together. It's his own mission, and he doesn't care about how many have to die or how much money is wasted.

Still think we live in a free country? Still think we're not turning into Russia?

I'm sure all the people saying "who cares if it was illegal, it was the right thing to do" would love to get rid of free speech, because, well, how could they possibly feel sympathy for DEFENDERS of a DICTATORSHIP? Serves em right, I guess. In before Foxi4 comes in and writes some pretentious essay about how it's technically legal to do this.

Speaking of...

This you?

Funny how for the last few years, whenever Republicans or Trump did something fucked up in the news, you were always there bending over backwards to try and justify it, saying because it's established under law, it's fine and anyone who complains is just a whiner. Always talking about how important the law is, how the law and the Constitution are absolute, and how obeying the law is so important for a functioning, and just, society. But when Trump does something irrefutably, objectively, provably, explicitly, unbelievably illegal in this instance, you switch gears to say "well I don't agree with it, but the ends justify the means". How fucking convenient for you.

"Oh but Dems when Putin-"

No. Fuck off. I am done entertaining your whataboutism non-arguments. Don't change the subject, don't make this about anyone other than you. Just acknowledge the fact that you don't have any actual principles. It turns out that all you have ever believed in, when you cook down all your pseudo-intellectual bullshit, is just whatever owns the libs.

There’s nothing legally confusing about presidential authority in regards to limited scale operations on foreign soil. The UN charter is also clear in regards to universal jurisdiction. What remains to be seen is whether the decision is deemed lawful by observers upon further analysis. The alternative is crying about it on the Internet, I guess.
imma be real with you, I don’t think this is happening nor do I trust social media posts. At this point, there are too many Feds or people acting like/enabling Feds to take anything like this seriously. It’s also not happening in this thread, so again, this is straight up gaslighting. Plus, this would also imply Trump is doing this for anything other than oil and distracting people from the Epstein files, that for some reason he’s protecting with his life
Internet bubbles strike again.

You're right, it's illegal and a prime example of an impeachable offense. The president can't just go around abducting world leaders and stealing their nations' resources for his own profit. Nothing confusing about it.

Yeah, most members don't know that I'm deaf because I'm reluctant to identify myself in public post and I felt like not much help based on my past experience with other forums.

I have to rely on video to communicate with old deaf people because they are unable to write nor type.

Sadly, poor English is very common issue with deaf people.

Russia is very spotty after collapse of USSR. China, North Korea, Vietnam and Cuba didn't take Russia routine. China and Vietnam switched to full capitalism in 1990s but keep communist for authoritarian. Cuba had limited reform but got worse and worse, so Cuba government make you go survival as socialist won't save or help anymore.

China is very beautiful country but not fond of their authoritarian government.

Oh really? Then why is the consensus among every legal expert in the nation that regardless of whatever the president's authority is, it was blatantly unconstitutional in how he bypassed Congress? And how international law does not, and cannot sanction our government using its own legal system as a basis and justification for attacking the government of another country? Where's your law degree? Or are lawyers woke now?

Gonna tell me next how the law is very clear in how police are allowed to arrest you for protesting warmongering on the sidewalk?

You're a tool, Foxi. You always have been, but you especially are now. For how much you like to prop yourself up as a free thinker and brag about how you're more "educated" than everyone else here, you are so hopelessly duped by this administration that there is no saving you.

Third time lucky, hmm?

The President didn’t declare war with Venezuela, that *would* require an act of Congress. What Congress is considering instead is a vote to reign in further action, which tells you all you need to know. I’m sorry that you got gaslit by some talking heads, the President is in fact Commander-in-Chief.
